I think they’re one of those botters that need the schedule to prepare in advance. Why would a normal player care about this at all… Like sure I’ll wait a bit I guess. Nothing changed. I prefer these sudden maintenance and bot ban waves. As long as you guys notify us a few hours before maintenance.
unless the maintenance happens during the time you play, then you’ll come here and complain
There is a reason why they are called unscheduled or unplanned you know? If they announced it beforehand, it would be planned maintenance.
lol, not playing for a day is not that big of a deal. As long as it only happens around once/twice a month. There are alternatives. Just go outside or play something else. Lost Ark is not a job.

No because I have other stuff that I like to play as well… or even just watch some movies and chill out 
except they were announced a few hours before they happned…
unplanned or unscheduled means it is not the weekly maintenance we have on plan, it’s an extra one that can be scheduled at any time depending on how necessary it is
good for you, then this doesnt affect your gameplay or anything, no reason to be here on a thread of someone who has a problem with it and wanting a solution
This kind of insight would be a great addition to future maintenance announcements. “Infrastructure improvements” is incredibly vague and brings up more questions than it answers about the reasoning for the maintenance. Thanks for sharing this update.
Seriously? Which is it? It is a necessary forseeable infrastructure update that needs to be deployed ahead of next week, or is it a “snap, things are broken, need to fix this now” hotfix?
Either story is believable. Both at once are not.
It’s probably both. Something like they forgot to include it in the deployment on thursday, so they had to re-do it on the next day. Most likely won’t admit it or SG doesn’t want to admit it - call it “safe communication” to not furthermore appear weak in the eyes of the people who complain here day and night about the little things anyone would call just inconveniences, yet are enough to go enrage as if life or death was the case.
I mean… its a public forum and I have an opinion on the subject so I have every right to comment here the same as everyone else. Just because it doesnt personally effect me doesnt invalidate my opinion nor does it validate anyone elses. You are free to complain and I am free to tell you how pointless your complaining is.
Bottom line OP is asking too much. In an ideal world yes every emergency/unscheduled maintenance would be announced at least 24 hours in advance. But we do not live in an ideal world and we never will. Stuff like this is always going to happen. Get used to it.
Easily could have been SGR sending them something a being like “btw, this has to go in now”
SGR isn’t know for extremely good communication all the time.

Man, for being so hot (and offschedule), they always come at 9AM in EU, what a coincidence! Hoping one day we get unexpected night maintenances too. 
Not sure what the conflicting information is – the build came in very hot, and contained infrastructure updates that needed to be deployed ahead of next week, as both quoted messages state. Considering that the May update is just a few days away and the weight of things like infrastructure/backend changes, it was important to deploy this with enough time to fully implement and monitor vs sending it right before the update in case of anything going sideways.

nah, for just the fact of being an ass, like op clearly said " if it’s an emergency it’s understandable but if it’s not and can be delayed then announce a day or more beforehand"
if the op was complaining about emergency maintenance then i would say you have a point, but since the op is complaining about something else then it’s just you being an ass about it.
