1 month per class is still too slow. Let's make a change

i predict scooter for july. June for arcana (1 month delay from first roadmap) august reaper or summoner, september for artist, october for last, december aeromancer, and february-march for femzerk.

So here is my bet : you will enjoy ironman in july

Why this order ? after two month with “low waited class” a big one would be fine, and i have feeling artist will be delayed to have more time to weight the “loli” problem. (i consider artist should be released as she is, all skin i saw being cute more than “sexy” but… amazon… ) a “low waited” class again, just to fill the month and big waited, and … the last
Aeromancer will be during summer, 2 month after, with christmas spirit is i think fine, even if korean got femzerk in end of year. So… 2 or 3 more month. Then we will be close to korean release. because at this point we will have class AND content similar to KR situation which is their objectiv. to do “global” patch. Easier also for SMG to not have only one version of their game. (the difference being language but this is mainly on amazon side)

Saitone did hoard LOT of mats for sorc release. + the sorc release event for sure…
He clearly prepared the sorc release to swap main. and he knew what he was doing (more than me) it was not enough…

I will go to 1400 to do the “whole” argos on sorc. 1385 on the way for the tech (which will redeem part of the mats). Tomorrow or wendsday i will be 1370 for sure (4 honing to succeed, 15 book left, and 2 item has already 4-5 fail both… good hope to get it tomorrow ! )

and wait the summer roadmap (which will be released mid july 15 days before july patch, 3 weeks after june patch … :’) ) and… adapt myself : forgetting lost ark. trying to get little more content, or hoarding for the summoner i would see in roadmap.

Clearly, the chance i totally leave the game if no summoner until august is high, not a threat. just a statement.
MMORPG for me was always doing an experience on a character i invest my own self in. this is why i won’t go in south bern without her… because i want to discover this step of epicness during the story with the class i love. to feel more invested, and be even more entertained by the cinematics and quests…
so if i have to wait too long, i will just abandon…

PS : about gold, i am quite fine with 85k right now. with only 3k took from collectibles (don’t know their english name). and waiting to take the legendary engravings for summoner in AH, they will still get lower !

All that is good planning and execution and that’s all you can do. And look I’m not trying to defend them per say, because as a player I want all this stuff too, including the raids, but I just think ppl need to be reasonable and understand the business aspect and to respect that we may not have a full idea of what all is going on behind the scenes and how it relates to how AGS receive the patches and how much give and take there is between them and SG and what all is truly done and not.

Player and companies are not ennemies, and while i despise FFXIV for many thing, if people are happy with it and squareenix avoided some big money problem due to FFXIV success, i am happy for them.

But players and companies are not friend or anything. but you didn’t do a message “stop trying to ask this, they won’t do it” like lot of people are doing… this is boring. You or Sol.d were two people i did like to speak with here :wink:

Been talking about it constantly, but Roxx has made several statement basically saying they aren’t going to release them faster. They even compared it at one point to them releasing argos and people complaining about content being released too quickly. Still can’t believe they compared a class that you can play from the beginning of the game to content that the majority of people can’t access.

1 Class per month is plenty, the only people that do not agree on this is the people that still have not gotten their main class yet.

Save up capital and have enough banked to get that class you want up to speed asap when it comes.

It is nice to have something to look forward too and keep the game feeling fresh with knowing that most likely every month we will have a new class, and once we are caught up people are gonna start having withdrawals because we have been so spoiled with having this fast class realease allready.

Well, everybody knew that we would be getting stuff a little by little untill we where fully up to date with KR. It is a free game and plenty of other classes, pick an alt and farm for your mats, easy as that. Doubt i will be seeing Reaper anytime soon but still managed to knock out 500+ hours in the game and have a ton of fun on other classes aswell.

Stop making up problems because you are bored, if you do not want to play the game before your class comes then come back when it does and it will more than likely even be a boost pass to get you up.

I don’t think AGS is passing along any further feedback on the matter of class release schedules because it goes against what they think is better for the game. I know classes have been drip-fed in every other region, though I haven’t seen any sources showing how many and which classes. That doesn’t make it okay and it’s a scummy move on the part of everyone involved.

I agree… It’s crazy. I wouldn’t exactly put Amazon Games on some list of “companies who know what they are doing and are making the right decisions”

Breakaway - cancelled
Crucible - released - went back into beta/alpha - cancelled
New World - released - status being beyond the grave
Lost Ark - status pending

It’s a free to play game. Your class is not out yet? Make a break and come back when it does. It’s your choice to wait while grinding so stop whining.

What is crazy is people not realizing the difference between a publisher and a developer.

IPs are valuable, Amazon aren’t gonna be allowed to put their hands on LA code easily.

It’s very obvious their part is regarding localization for the west (Voice overs, recolors, styles, presets, skins & new skins) but so far it doesn’t seem like they can really alter the game at will unless they have the data to back it up.

SGR got data from KR which is useless considering how bad west players are (I include myself here cause Im very lazy) and how people here progress.

Yeah, games and software that sells as service have loads of logs to provide the owner data useful for the development or debugging and pretty sure those graphs from it are very different from other regions.

Unlike any of those listed games, thankfully, AGS is for once not the bad guy here, those decisions are SGR:

But hey, people will swallow any words from the lead of SGR due to some hatred towards Amazon in general. Despite this being decided by SGR.

Pd: Classes generate hype and bait people to log for playing them. It generates interest from the public that might come back or even stay if the new gameplay is appealing to them.

Is not a “benefit” for players and only annoys a very small subset of people who are still here pumping up their numbers compared to all the casuals that will have the numbers fluctuate higher. Literally just business and should be easy to understand why it’s done this way.

Just like they did with New World that haven’t managed to bring new players in and keep them even while being F2P during the weekend? Yeah, AGS will definitely spend the money in a good way… I mean they aren’t even releasing skins - which is usually the major source of revenue… So if anything they are incompetent even at making money, not to mention spending it and investing it…

Smilegate is developer so in charge of code and gamedesign…

That doesn’t mean that Smilegate decide what to release for amazon…
We don’t know the exact contract, but when i see Gold River in interview explaining being quite dubitativ from amazon choices, it allows to think that amazon get quite liberty about what to release and when. Not amazon dictate it, but… in speak with SMG.

Yes, SMG should say “do class slower/faster”. But it is really false to say decision come from SMG alone.
If you are the one you decide, but i show you argument/metrics/data that goes the way i want, you will agree with me.

“People will swall any words from Gold river” and you swallow any word from amazon yourself. it is words versus words… but one has history with successes in it, other a history of absolute fail…

Even more, amazon is never answering question. just look how empty their answer is in the recent inverview. How trust people with such PR speak ?

I really don’t understand the need of some people to go to companies side. “it is business, accept it” … we, as player, should have no care at all about “company business” …

This actually happen a lot in this game, i had a main on RU and i switched and im in love with my new main lol

The question is why they removed it. the “rework” is still a rumor (never stated even by GR) and a weak argument to not have it in release : soon PTR, and it will not go for 2 days. it means that we would get the “rework” in 2 months at best. And nothing says that rework will change in deep the summoner, probably change the builds, yes. maybe change the engravings you will use, and even stats. But to change the class as a whole ?

Also, the “play what you have ignore what is coming” is not a total good advice for people who are clearly waiting :
the more you invest gametime in your main now, the longer you will need to swap main character after. a simple example was korean who tried to be ready to swap asap sorc at her release in KR, they gathered as much as they could, it was not enough.
Lost Ark is not a game where you change main easily. it is weeks of farm to do it…
People who want to swich will have days or weeks (depending the gathering before release) to reach their “previous main” … it will be really frustrating “i prefer this but i have to stick for days/weeks with that” …

this is why, i am going up to 1400 to have the full argos (a little of game) and stop there, hoard more and more, in hope to get summoner as close as current content (when release) as possible… And here is why feimurgan’s answer so dumb : people continue to farm while waiting class because they hope, when it is release, to finally be able to enjoy most of the game.
