Well we have 18 character slots in game but only 9 knowledge transfer available. do we need to do all 1-50 levelling after that 9 knowledge transfer?
I’m actually done with my knowledge transfers and i wanted to play destroyer but i wont do that torture all over again since there is no pass for destroyer or no knowledge transfer.
Roxx mentioned looking at raising the limit, so the ball is probably in Smilegate’s court right now.
You’ve had 3 power passes and 9 knowledge transfers to prepare for Destroyer or all new classes. It is your own fault if you have to grind through 1-50 again. Soon we will get more power passes for class releases anyway
chill mate im just askin if we will have any more or thats all
Agree bro…
It’s absurd that they expanded the character slots but didn’t increase the 9 KT limit for north Vern. Not an issue in KR because all their new classes got a power pass. But since they decided to buck that trend here without telling us until after most people used their power pass on Glaiver, we’re screwed
Well, the KT is designed that one character must manually complete story, or use a powerpass, to allow another character to “fast Track” it. So 9 characters must have either completed the story manually or powerpassed it. This will expand to 12 when we get up to 24 characters. The flaw, which I think should be changed, is that the KT limit does not account for deleted characters.
So someone who tested classes in T1 before deleting, maybe to save on character expansion purchases, gets hosed down the line.
same i want every class just for pvp
We’ve had 3 powerpasses and 9 Vern KT that some people have used, the cap isn’t there on RU or KR so it being arbitrarily added to the global release is annoying.
I don’t think that’s true. The other KT zones scale infinitely as long as you complete the story (one manual complete = one extra KT). Based on how the KT looks in game, it seems that there’s a hard cap on North Vern. I’m going to have to manually level my destroyer on Thursday, so I’ll let y’all know if I see anything change with the cap after.
Edit: Adding screenshots to show what I mean. These numbers have always gone up as I completed a new run of Feiton/Punika, but I’m still under the hard cap of 9 knowledge transfers.

But with North Vern the number has never gone past 1/1, despite having 13 completions of the other zones. And the KT cap is at 9/9 even if that number did increase after another run through the 1-50 story.

BTW, I would be HAPPY to be wrong about this. That would at least give us some kind of solution to being hard-capped (even if it’s a bad one).
@Roxx Know you have said you’ve shared the feedback with devs about the cap, but are you able to find out/confirm if completing additional manual story runs (through North Vern or Shushire) increases the North Vern KT cap similar to how it currently works for Rohendel/Yorn/Feiton/Punika? Would be a rather un-fun experiment to do if, after 10 hours, we discover it doesn’t impact the cap at all.
edit insert: I see you added images and detail while I was off hunting down topic I linked.
You are more talking about if the 9 limit could be boosted than the limitations of 1-to-1 limits.
I suppose my answer is not on target then but maybe you find that topic useful anyway.
I am failry sure you can not go above 9 for north Vern knowledge transfers but you likely want hard proof.
I think I answered you in another topic.
Seeing you ask again I digged through my post history to find the topic where I and many others came together to figure out that North Vern knowledge transfer has different rules to the others after it:
Theres a lot in that topic and I was initially wrong and edited my posts as we found out along the way.
The games UI for KT is confusing and strange with different rules.
The first row of your Feiton KT is the total number of KTs available. You’ve transferred 6 characters out of a total max of 9 characters.
The second row just says if you’ve met the conditions or not. As you already mentioned, only every 2nd char can be KT‘d through the zone. I’m your case, you’ve levels 7 characters and KTd 6. Which means you’ve met the condition to KT your 7th character.
So no, there is no scaling. As soon as you’ve KTd the 9th character you will not be able do KT any further - except AGS/SGR raises the limit via patch.
North Vern KT has only one condition, having levelled 1 character from scratch to level 50. This is why you don’t see any changes there.
They does not increase.
I have level up 2 characters normally to vern and max is still 9.
I have completed rohendel with 9 characters normally and max is still 9.
I wish we can buy these (if we cant increase them normally).
I have 2 vern transfers left and no destroyer for me too.
Arcana, Summoner, Artist - i hope we get at least 1 powerpass for these 3 characters and other 2 will be KT.

Saving money from character slots …
Maybe you didn’t do the quests like you thought you did?

I intend on rolling 3 more alts to get to 17, although I cannot imagine doing the 1-50 content again. I did it a second time and it really sucked. It is 9 continents, a tone of dungeons and low roster XP. What I am very much hoping for is vern power pass in the shop at a reasonable price. I think they have this in other region.
oh, now I see with the added images. I was referring to the KT Count, which is capped at 9 (then later 12) for all zones.
I think we’re all saying the same thing. You’re hard capped at 9 North Vern KTs period and that’s an issue when the roster slots get expanded to 18, but the hard cap doesn’t. It might not have been an issue in KR or RU because all character releases got power passes, making the KT irrelevant. But now NA is in a situation where if you used the 9 KTs, you have to level every new class manually. Or deprive yourself of experiencing other classes to save for a future class release.
For a game built around playing alts freely, this is a pretty awful system.
No, you’re right. I was more proposing some solutions. Let me increase my hard cap of 9 by manually playing through, let me buy a north vern power pass, let me but a knowledge transfer cap increase, or just increase the knowledge transfer cap. All 4 seem like reasonable solutions. I think the current system balances out progression spamming, but forcing someone to slog through 8-10 hours of levels 1-50 just to see if you like the character at level 50 seems silly. Especially if the KT cap doesn’t adjust if you DELETE a character.
