I was one of those unlucky ones to receive a 24h ban for “cheating”.
The ban was lifted automatically when 24h was over.
Even though I am able to play normally now.
There are still alot of things, that should be clarified IMO.
Support did nothing. I think I speak for alot of us, who got banned yesterday.
I got copy/pasta replies for the whole day. At around 20:30 pm (startet contacting support around 7am) I actually got an human reply which said I have to appeal my ban (so unfortunatly not very helpful, but I was thankful to get an human reply at least…)
I still have no idea what I did wrong.
Only thing I know of: -Playing alot (500+ h)
-Being Online (afk) alot during first 2 weeks and sometimes getting kicked
because of it (6h que in Kadan, no thx).
I did not RMT/Script/hack/cheat.
So even though I can play right now. It left a really bad aftertaste.
Will I get randomly banned again? (If yes support won’t help. This is a fact.)
Will I get permad when I get banned again? (The first ban will probably get me a strike)
What do I have to do to avoid getting banned? (Again: 0 Information about why the ban happend. Just a Text branding me as an alleged “cheater”)
Did plan on buying the 90 days crystalline Aura after mine run out and stock up on crystals. Well… now I don’t. I won’t risk paying a penny when Amazon can just ban you without any information and offer 0 help.
Will there be ANY official statement regarding the bans?
Alot of people accusing us as cheaters in the Forums doesn’t feel nice AT ALL.
There were some being supportive and understanding, but also few pointing fingers and telling us to basically “suck it up”, since ban=guilty.
As someone condoning cheaters my whole life (never cheated/hacked once) that was straight up insulting.
I hope this matter will not be ignored.

It is certainly something to be worrying about, I basically have the same if not perhaps more hours than you and basically did the same things and I now have to kind of live in fear of being banned in the next wave because I play the game 2 much?
It’s vey concerning, but I don’t think they will give out an offical statement, you probably know what happened when people figured out the automated system in new world bans people with just mass reports.
I hope it was just a bug in their bot detection system and they are working on it to not have this happen again, the reason why I think this is the case due to us having so many hours and perhaps other factors that the system detected.
Might I ask you how many Characters you have and if they are Berserker and Sorc and if you own Avatars on them, maybe they had some weak filtering and people who hit those filters got accidently suspended.
Just stop cheating, but fun aside (sorry hat to make that joke) with the amount of players who had the problem apparently (alone here in the Froum) it is very likely that something has gone wrong on the part of AGS. Unfortunately, I do not think there will be a statement on the matter from AGS…
From the current communication this is very likely. I was lucky despite ~470 hours of play, but I can understand that the whole thing spreads fear among the players.
i hope the community manager speaks up, legit i have no problem with the ban if it was part of em trying to ban bots but its its bothersome to know they blamed us and then didnt give any real information, i just hope this doesnt happen again… the lack of communication from the cms is extremely distasteful; at the end of the day problems happen, and the ppl that was affected by it wants clarification i think thats the least they can do

So even if u weren’t banned yesterday I think it’s in the best interest of ALL players to have this matter clarified.

I even get kicked for afk as stated above. So where did u get the fact that I apparently used some macro I dont even know about?

Im going the same way, more than 500h played , banned for nothing, never banned in almost 25 years for anything againts ToS, i get pointed and acussed like a criminal, no one supported me.
For this im not going to buy any content that gives they money, cristalyne aura, skins etc.
Also reducing mi gameplay, since i dont know if i can get perma ban for nothing im not risking more time than needed on do mi daily routine.
Just for clarify, no bought gold, game bought in steam, mi pc was restarted 1 day before the release data of this game.

There IS a thread about this problem, you thought you are special to get your own post And i give my opinion. No sorry if you dont like it, you made something what tag you as cheating to prevent being marked as afk becaause “6 hour queue no thanks”. You thought you outsmarted the system And the system banned you for a day in exchange. Period
if you don’t believe his version, you are more or less saying that 400-500 players (if not more) here in the forum alone are lying…
We already had the whole topic back then with the “commerce lock”. At that time players were banned without doing anything wrong and there were people like you in the forum who said Ban = Gulty.… However, the problem was partially fixed after a few days and surprise, the players were not guilty and were unbanned.
I myself also have about ~470 game hours and was fortunately spared of course this makes you wonder but with the number of cases it is very unlikely that everyone lies…
If people definitely deserved to be banned and then they got unbanned why would they be pushing so hard to figure out why they got banned? If someone deserved it and then got away with only a slap on the wrist they wouldn’t keep sending amazon tickets. Nobody is getting any explanation from amazon about anything. A few people that managed to actually interact with a real human support member who cared seemed to got their ban undone immediately because the issue was obvious. I’m on NA East we never even had big queues like EU so there would be no reason to try cheat AFK.
And i believed most of those Who were commerce banned, but dont believe this “6 hour queue not thanks” most times didnt get Kicked when being afk if he did not cheat on any way. As i day, they flagged anti afk cheat even those abusing running against walls for hours
What justice are you looking for? They didn’t ban you for doing nothing. You may not have deserved the ban but you got one because your behavior suggested cheating or some other tos violation. That’s just a fact.
However, this book of self justification seems like you are trying to get your dignity back. Your good name has been tarnished and to be honest, we don’t care. If you cheated you got punished and that’s good enough. If you didn’t cheat there is nothing we can do to turn back time and keep it from happening. Nobody who visits your thread wants cheaters in the game. Try to not act like a bot?
