I believe you can skip this quest and get the 2nd awakening skill by using the Feiton Powerpass. I assume the same applies to Punika’s powerpass too.
There is only bad questlines and it multiplies when you need to repeat them
2nd Awakening Quest is indeed obnoxious, but at the same time, you only do it once for your entire account which means its entirely negligible. Roster Quests are kind of a god send. This game would be dead without them.
On another note, every single damn questline that gives you stats that isn’t a Roster Quest should be and if it’s for the rewards they could easily move the rewards to some other yellow quest that already exists that isn’t a Roster Quest AND has no stat points tied to it.
You have to do it the first time to autocomplete them later, if i’m not mistaken.
Now, talking about the main theme:
Personally i enjoyed both awakening quests. Just accept that you aren’t the center of the universe, if you haven’t enjoyed them, CONGRATULATIONS. What can we say about it?.
Someone has never done the wow warlock mount quest line before…
Longest quest chain in the game at the time and very expensive and impossible to solo.
As a therapy we should strap you on a fresh wow classic server and let you do the Scarablord questline.

nobody force you to something. if you dont like the game, you can stop playing it. you cant get everything fast and for free in this world. for some things you have to work for
Cry me a river about one-time quest. Be thankful, you only have to do it once. Imagine that you would have to do quest like that on all your characters… And I played games like that, where u had to do quest of the same length on every single character you made.
ProTip, Use the 960 pass on any character, then for all follow on characters just go to Beatrix in Trixion to instantly get your 2nd Awaken Skill. I have never done the awaken quest on ANY of my characters and all have the 2nd awaken skill

Wow, I have been putting off this quest as I thought I would have to do it on all my characters. Lol, I guess I should have done some research first.
I liked it, i want more long Quests.

I just found out today that using any Feiton and higher powerpass will instantly complete this horrible quest chain as well.
Even Vern knownledge transferred characters get the mail with it as well : )
People comllain there are not enough activities in game to do, but when there is, they complain it takes too much time…
there most certainly is a guide i had to follow one as i swapped mains and didnt realize i had started the quest on my old main and needed the guild to help me find the start points again. do your research - also no one complains as most did it in line with their story progression and its a 1 time quest meaning you never have to run it again.
if you have completed it once, any new character that has completed vern story + shushire (so level 50 SH research or any powerpass) will auto complete this quest as its a 1 time quest that cannot be run again
I think I did the quest by mistake then before using the Vern powerpasses, because I remember the pain.
I share you tought. I have really enjoyed doing Half of this quest. Unfortunately for me, the Feiton Powerpass that I used on my Glavier basically instaneously validated the other Half of the quest line, that is a Roster quest-line, so I have not been able to finish this quest line. I have also lost the (few) roster XP it provide.
I have done a ticket about it and never get answer. So I have been forced to watch Playthrough to get the end of the Story.
That was my story with this amazing quest line.
