Not sure what the context of this is. Are you comparing hopscotch to positional raid mechanics? Youre raiding with 7 other people, there are variables to positionals within a raid encounter. It’s not just black and white as youre making it out to be. There is more complexity to positionals when there are more people involved.
Im also a main supp and the way you do it is in the party finder, you make your own lobby and do it duo with just 1 dps, just make sure to check their engravings and gems and put it in " no wipes" in the title to make sure better players join.
Im playing the game and having fun doing the hardest mechanics especially because i get to do them once a week. You called yourself dumb,I didnt call your anything but funny.
I didn’t call myself anything. It’s a question.
Not that i want to interrupt the both of you. But yeah the most people that get these accusations also cry about not progressing or even demand the game to give them free mats cause they only play one char. That what i experienced alot and yeah… If I’m not willing to do sth but expect to get huge advantages or sth for free to compensate. Thats where the blame is on me not the game.
I know a lot of guys only playing one char… and thats fine cause they don’t bitch in forum or demand anything of the game/devs.
Just my take on that topic… And when it comes to them not reading skills cause of that. As i said in a statement before, people don’t even read item descriptions etc. So i guess the problem of not reading is rooted somewhere else…
Ill make this simple.I know how to use skills and know mechs,i carry and clear all content i queue for in 20-30 min and first try it no matter if i get 7 bad players or 7 good players. You dont know mechs/your skills, you queue and dont get a carry in your raid ,you wipe for 2 hours cause you are with people who play exactly like you.You waste time and gamble every week.I waste time once, 5 min to read my skills and im good forever, not wasting my time.
Incorrect.
Let me be clear.
My friend is a brutal carry. Every week he carries me without problems. I dont even lose 5 minute with Argos. And I dont make a big deal out of it.
The problem is you, not thinking deeper. You expect that everyone will be motivated as you are.
But your title gives away your cluelessness about others motivations.
You state that 90% of players dont read their skills. But instead of digging deeper to understand why they dont, (since if 90% of people dont do something, they must have a good reason right?), you just denounce them as some kind of “morons” and complain that they should read their skills because u want them to.
The message you should get from my posts is not “hahaha you carry me idiots while I do nothing!”. Thats not the message.
My message is clear and simple: The game is so badly structured that there are no motivations for anyone to really bother learning their skills. They just gather materials to hone. Thats it
— Let me summarize this in an even simplier way:
If you could do Argos at least once a day, and it would drop extra loot for the top 3 MVPs like 1k extra gold, guaranteed legendary engraving, Extra Legendary gear or accessories with guaranteed 100 quality, then you can be sure that players not reading their skills would be the least of your problems. In fact you would be glad they dont since it would give you more chances to be top 3. Thus punishing people who dont, and rewarding people who do. Now wouldnt that be a better design?
But at the state Argos is now, I can get the loot doing nothing. So you beat Argos once for fun, sure, but after that, why bother?
Have to agree with this!
Most of the game is so unengaging easy that nobody feels even compelled to deal with the mechanics, when they have another dozens of daily FOMO activities to do, for filling their daily checklist.
Good point. “Let just get Argos out of the way” is the state of mind you re in when you do Argos.
In the end, Argos is just another weekly chore, you want to repeat for that sweet drops and gold.
This is also the reason why I don’t see how the Legion Raids are supposed to change anything!
In the end, they are simply something you do once per week, while still boringly grind your ass off on the remaining 99% of the game which are just pointless chores.
This post is not about about argos alone. You said “you dont waste time reading your skills” i told you " i waste 5 min to read skills and im good forever" Every single day you do raids, chaos dungeons, gates on multiple characters and you waste your own time by not knowing your skills and mechs.Let me give you a simple example : every day you do a raid, lets say velganos and you clear it in 20-30 min cause you dont know your skills and you miss out on huge damage windows and positionals, meanwhile i clear it in 7-10 min.
Over the course of 1000 h played ,you wasted around 50-150 hours more then i did because you didnt take 5 min to read your skills once. You dont just waste time at argos ,you waste time on every piece of content you try and do.My original post is not about complaining its about raising awareness and literally asking nicely for people to take 5 min and read their skills. You being a negative andy and trying to say " hey i got a hyper carry friend and im smart cause he does all the work for me and all of you are wasting your time playing the game the way its supposed to be played" isnt really a good argument. You are focusing on adding random variables and thinking about the topic subjectively instead of objectively is a waste of time. You arent even trying to make sense any more ,you are that desperate to “win the argument” so i wont be responding to you since thats a waste of time for me.Have a good one
no need to read skills. just follow guides. level up the same skills and use the same skills, runes, gems, tripods etc. every skill does dmg. and its just all about dmg
This post isnt about argos.
That’s why I have mentioned the game design.
Of course there are people who just hate to read and prefer to skip every line of text ( we had a perfect example of people refusing to read after the last patch ), but is there really a good reason to read descriptions of every item?
I mean, I still have no idea when would I use ice or fire bomb. All I care is stagger damage and weak points, anything else in the description is just pointless.
That is wrong. You miss huge damage windows, damage % increases by not using your positionals correctly and that is actually costing you a huge amount of time over the course of your playthrough.
You are talking about min/maxing here.
No one needs to do any of those things he mentioned, just to be able to beat the content.
Sad that you think reading/knowing how to use your skills properly is min maxing ,but i guess to a really really casual player it is.You make a good point
No but there is a relevant difference between refusing to read anything and not reading it all. For example… with every new item / event / material i could get, the first thing my eye wanders to is the specification if its bound /roster bound/ or tradeable, the amount of players that wasted thousands of material just by that 1-2 words they didn’t bother to check… And that happens to this day, like 80 days after release.
And though it may notbe necessary yet, yeah at least i read the relevant items once i mean you have to read different stuff at least once to know where the relevant data is written.
The game won’t stay likle it is and Im better prepared for the content to come. But thats just my personal approach… But i also don’t feel pity for those that refuse to learn out of these things, do it again and THEN complain/demand.
You jumped topics there but agreed
Sorry mate but i think its kind of a general problem, by that i mean its not only happening in regards to skills and playing the connected mechanics.
My take on it is just that if i like what I’m doing, i try to improve and be the best at it as i can. No matter how hard or easy it is for me personally.
