It is reproducible, any CMs can message me about the steps to reproduce it. As a dev, it is quite obvious what causes it.
The message shows up as a blank and causes players no not receive any more messages in every chat as long as the affected chat (Area, Normal, Raid etc.) is still shown.
It can be fixed by any method that clears the chat (e.g relogging, changing characters and creating a new chat tab and de-selecting the affected chat)

It seems to happen when you type < followed by another character. For instance, <<
It happens when people just want to share the heart emoji <3

And we obviously have abusers. (What this player said means “Didn’t like this. I’ll have to break your chat”)
Bump. Reporting players who break the chat, but we need an eta on this.
Bump. Players keep abusing this to bug out chat when there is chaos gate so we cant find part for maps etc.
