??? No they literally aren’t, if you think any company looks into an appeal on the first message you send you’re mad.
Have you not seen any videos on youtube and how many times it takes to get a false ban reversed? (not to mention that’s for BIG creators, the little ones likely are sol)
Yes they absolutely are, or the system wouldn’t exist in the first place. You clearly don’t know enough about what companies are required to do to even have this conversation. But its ok, you can keep your tinfoil hat that AGS is out to get people, and mercilessly bans people for no reason and then refuses to unban them with no actual appeal process.
Ok short explanation how this works.
You make an automatic ban system you don’t know the false positive rate of but you consider it being ok.
False positives being handled by support. Support are underpaid people that sit there having way too much work for too short amount of time and ontop most likely are paid by cases closed instead of hours worked.
What you think happens next?
my friend playing the bot class with rainbow stats, no stronghold levels, and no guild that’s on its own separate steam account got banned by the bot detection
weird, wonder how that happened, the only way it would be more of a coincidence is if they really enjoyed doing endless chaos
Assuming it’s a false positive, you need to keep sending messages until you get a real person or you get blocked from sending in tickets. Everyone’s worst nightmare is needing to contact AGS support for anything at all.
They should send the proof that he cheated, not the opposite…
This is insane, I think they don’t know at all, he got flagged automatically and support won’t bother looking into things…
Every ban should provide a reason to why you got banned. If it’s botting, it should say botting, not cheating. Cheating can mean litterally anything, and a innocent person will never know what “cheating” is, and therefore can’t provide whatever they need to provide to appeal. A cheater will know what he did, even if it says “cheating”, and won’t bother to appeal unless he knows that he can get away with it. (Like RMT)
There has been countless of false bans in games, and amazon is no different, if not worse with their automatic system which they keep saying is checked by real people but is obviously not true at all.
It was already a redflag that his “friend” didn’t make the post, but that pretty much settles it. The account is not trusted, so the playes didn’t buy anything including arkpass and to complete the free version of it, you need to do a lot of mini quests for a list a month, including Ghost Ship and other trade skills. @Roxx
I have to lock this thread as conversation is turning combative. I’m sorry to hear your friend was banned but there is nothing that can be done at this time from the forums. CMs cannot access anything that has to do with bans nor do we have any say in unbans. I’m sorry for his frustration in this, but would advise him to continue talking with customer service about it.
