Hopefully enough people speak out against the censorship that they reverse course or maybe Smilegate intervenes. I know Smilegate cares about their customers and their game and have changed things in game many times when their players weren’t happy.
it’s only the minority who likes the censorship and some people on twitter who will never play the game to begin with. for the most part it’s the majority who’s against it that’s why i have high hopes of them not ruining everything given that with more people going against this bs censorship they’ll be forced to remove it.

What’s real telling is how silent AGS has gone in this thread and others once a lot of people started to speak up about censorship and major changes to the western version of Lost Ark compared to the Korean and Russian version.
Amazon has already shown that they cannot stay true to the original vision of Lost Ark. Smilegate should more than intervene and force AGS to stay true on outfit design or revoke the license and give it to another publisher. It’s going to give the game a really bad reputation otherwise with how heavy handed Amazon wants want to be with inserting leftist poltiics and views into the game.

Hell… at this point I’d happily take another delay to Lost Ark coming to the west if Smilegate forced Amazon to reverse all the censorship and westernization/weird localization changes.

nothing is changed you say? why did they remove the assassin starter outfit and replaced it with something else? and you can’t have that ingame btw. look at the photo up that i posted of the RU assassin lvl 1. where did it go? if nothing is changed lol

They are different outfits, yes. But the original Assassin outfit is no longer in the game. Why was it changed? Why was it removed? Because Amazon wants to force their bullshit vision of the game on everyone instead of sticking to the original look as it was made by Smilegate.
he just talks with 0 evidence to support what he’s saying. while we have multiple pictures and even pictures of the assassin starter outfit in RU/KR vs NA/EU and all he got is just talk talk with nothing to support what he’s saying…
The sad part is that if it turns out that all of this stuff was in the final release of the game all along, you guys would attribute it to your protesting and “not letting this stand” and not to the fact that AGS meant what they said and that this is just a beta.
Yup. I really don’t get why people support and white knight for Amazon so hard over them changing the original look of Lost Ark and making it wildly different from the Korean and Russian versions of the game. Things like outfits, npc names, locations, attributes… it’s all pointless changes just for the sake of making the NA/EU version different from the other regions. It’s not like the Russian version went through this kind of heavy handed change from Korean to Russian.

I still do not understand this one. The Martial Artist outfit that females start with has absolutely zero relation to martial arts. It’s a western European knight outfit which looks completely out of place on what is meant to be a Far Eastern themed class. Give us back the original outfit.

unfortunately whiteknights exist and they’ll suck the company’s D so hard even if they’re dead wrong about changing stuff in the game that makes 0 sense and should’ve never been touched in the first place. this type of people who allow these companies to do changes like this are the reason many games are ruined in the first place.

As I said earlier… I would be perfectly content if the Korean playerbase forced Smilegate’s hand on the western version and caused it to be delayed. The level of censorship and heavy handed changes made by Amazon have the potential to harm the games reputation.
Edit: The game is already successful in Korea, Russia, and Japan. Smilegate will not be happy if the game ends up failing or falling flat in the west because of the ridiculous changes pushed by Amazon.
