A lot of threads are suddenly disappearing

Making and endless stream of threads about the same topic is lame. Just reply in the open threads.

Problem is that they’re deleting some of the main threads, even some that have the CMs’s comments on the subject.

Didn’t see that happen yet. Do you have an example?

Not wanna say you lie, it’s just something that I probably didn’t notice since I am mostly only look at the latest posts.

This is what AGS did when New World hit it’s peak and was on a downward spiral.

Here we see it happening again, nothing new.

True

We are going through and removing topics that have either already been answered, problems that have been resolved or anything that has been flagged multiple times for moderation.

While at the same time, the weekend tends to move faster with posts and things tend be be buried quickly.

@Shadow_Fox

Are the flagging of the posts, regardless of options, going to notify actual AGS CMs or is it just user-based automated system?

I had a pretty popular post about WoW comparisons to this game that got removed.

The people flagging simply didn’t like the discussion so boom, they mass reported and got it taken down.

Is this how it works now? If we have enough accounts to report a post we can silence discussions?

Could you dedicate more time to going through the game and deleting bots instead

I’m not part of that team

wooot that hurts

Yes and no. If a post does recieve a large amount of flags it is frozen and then determined if it should be removed or not.

While I don’t know the exact reasoning of the removal as I didn’t see it, comparing games to others can sometimes be a touchy topic. Especially when the games are extremely different. There might have been something in the conversation that wasn’t adding to the community as a whole.

This is fair, i’m not putting the blame on you or anything.

I’m just curious because the MMO population primarily comes from big games like WoW/FF14/etc.

A lot of Western LA players overlap with those titles so comparisons will naturally be made which I agree might not be fair all the time.

I think if anything these discussions shouldn’t be looked at as not adding anything as they are simply just conversation pieces, they aren’t meant more than expressing criticism towards the game/etc.

I think AGS staff should 100% believe in LA even in the face of criticism, it’ll only make the game and community look stronger rather than removing posts.

Now if we could have some sort of Runescape era player moderator system for the forums - choosing posters, through a vetting system, to be able to help with moderating.

I don’t mean giving them the ability to outright ban people or lock threads, but a higher priority flagging capability - so whatever posts they flag, would be investigated faster, which probably means dedicated CMs (or whoever actually moderates the forums)…

Would probably help cleaning the forums if it truly depends on the time of the day/week at this moment.

You know, something, anything. There are people who get 95% of their posts hidden yet they remain being able to post.

A community flagged post, that gets automatically hidden by the forum, can be restored and made visible again by editing the post.
That’s clearly not intended and should probably go on your list.

We do 100% believe in LA, and most of the forum posts are criticism and have not only been left but recorded as feedback and engaged with.

There is just a certain way to provide feedback or even criticism that is more helpful then comparions to a much older, western MMO.

Where can we find the guidelines for the type of criticism that is accepted?

And it’s funny that you mention it being a much older, western MMO because that was the discussion to begin with and many people had very interesting points.

Which is why I was shocked it got removed.

AFAIK nothing in there broke ToS.

@Shadow_Fox

One of my threads has disappeared too.

They cant say that it is somehow subversive, people are polite to each other… and… PEOPLE ARE STILL USING IT… so it’s not because of lack of use… there are over 9k views, and the users of this post are still continuing to post on it, despite the thread not being seen.
In fact, people are digging around to find this thread so they CAN use it.

Because of this, I made another thread to continue with the beautiful screenshots people have been submitting.

I don’t know why they have decided to ‘hide’ threads all of a sudden. It’s unfair to all those that add to the thread.

EDIT: Oh, and my ‘hidden’ post is in NO WAY critical of Lost Ark… It in fact shows just how beautiful Lost Ark is…

We don’t need a thousand copies of the same thread right? You don’t want to be in a forum where first 100 page is the same topic right?
