A lot of threads are suddenly disappearing

Bit sus there guys.

Yes, I noticed that too.

Specially about bots

I mean most of those threads are off topic or just crying FOMO.

When the winged moderators arrived!

CMs are actually doing work yes.
double and triple threads are not needed, others get moved.
This should have happened a long time ago

Making and endless stream of threads about the same topic is lame. Just reply in the open threads.

Problem is that they’re deleting some of the main threads, even some that have the CMs’s comments on the subject.

Didn’t see that happen yet. Do you have an example?

Not wanna say you lie, it’s just something that I probably didn’t notice since I am mostly only look at the latest posts.

This is what AGS did when New World hit it’s peak and was on a downward spiral.

Here we see it happening again, nothing new.

True

We are going through and removing topics that have either already been answered, problems that have been resolved or anything that has been flagged multiple times for moderation.

While at the same time, the weekend tends to move faster with posts and things tend be be buried quickly.

@Shadow_Fox

Are the flagging of the posts, regardless of options, going to notify actual AGS CMs or is it just user-based automated system?

I had a pretty popular post about WoW comparisons to this game that got removed.

The people flagging simply didn’t like the discussion so boom, they mass reported and got it taken down.

Is this how it works now? If we have enough accounts to report a post we can silence discussions?

Could you dedicate more time to going through the game and deleting bots instead

I’m not part of that team

wooot that hurts

Yes and no. If a post does recieve a large amount of flags it is frozen and then determined if it should be removed or not.

While I don’t know the exact reasoning of the removal as I didn’t see it, comparing games to others can sometimes be a touchy topic. Especially when the games are extremely different. There might have been something in the conversation that wasn’t adding to the community as a whole.

This is fair, i’m not putting the blame on you or anything.

I’m just curious because the MMO population primarily comes from big games like WoW/FF14/etc.

A lot of Western LA players overlap with those titles so comparisons will naturally be made which I agree might not be fair all the time.

I think if anything these discussions shouldn’t be looked at as not adding anything as they are simply just conversation pieces, they aren’t meant more than expressing criticism towards the game/etc.

I think AGS staff should 100% believe in LA even in the face of criticism, it’ll only make the game and community look stronger rather than removing posts.
