Let’s hear your way to solve the bot problem big man. Every big MMO is infested with bots for a reason, even requesting phone verification wouldn’t solve it.
Another person who seemingly doesn’t grasp who the developer of the game is and giving Smilegate yet another pass for issues in the game. Not saying AGS is absolved here but Smilegate should get some of your wrath.
I doubt either company really cares about the bot issue right now. They see a higher player count figure which many laughably think is a sign that the game is simply just bringing in all these tens of thousands of new players rather than bringing in a lot more bots. For the real players, most are not doing anything in response to the bot issue other than complaining online. If they outright quit or boycotted until it was fixed then you’d probably see something attempt to be done.
Had one of my alts I keep stationed right now at Cals to do the daily rapport and there were 3 bots there and they were 3 newly created ones at that.
I’m currently playing Guild Wars 2 and I have not seen the amount or type of bots that I do in Lost Ark whenever I have to go to a lower level area like Rethramis. I also see more actual players (real or bots) out and about in GW2 than I do in Lost Ark.

Was in the game after a long queue, got kicked out due to game error/load. Tried to relog and said duo log in. Tried again to refresh and locked me out for 10 mins.
Requeued 30 mins later and had a 13000 queue. Slept 2 times and finally in the game
You don’t notice them because GW2 doesn’t have shared nodes for all players. Each account gets its own nodes. And they probably use hacks to stay out of sight
But there are definitely bots in GW2… just do a google search and you’ll see the gold seller sites
You dont have as many gold sellers in GW2 because the devs tackled this issue back around the time the game first launched. They have systems in place that track literally every single bit of gold created in the game. They can track gold very easily. If you are stupid enough to buy gold these days you will almost certainly lose your account. They dont dish out warnings either. Your first warning is a permanent ban. Gold sellers realized this and dramatically scaled back their operations in the game. Sure you still see them here and there but its not even remotely comparable to a game like this where you have potentially hundreds of thousands of bots running simultaneously across multiple regions.

yeah they average about 300K daily players but with much much less bots and no ques so…shrug. The revenue they do make is mostly made from cosmetics or similar (vs. the lack of cosmetics we have here).
It would be a relevant stab into the botting community tho

Welcome to the real world bro! This is like telling the US government, “One of the strongest countries in the world”, why does your country still has criminals? how come your budget for jails keep increasing every year?? 
i played wow and ff14 for 10 years. the chat was not spammed to death, bots were not teleporting and speedhacking.

What did you play WoW 2 hours a day? Not only was chat spammed with bots, areas of the game littered with moonkin bots farming mobs and half the looking for raid groups promoting gold selling sites, but they would go as far as having a hundred level one orcs die in a pattern outside orgrimmar to spell out a gold selling sites name with there corpse’s, classic WoW has the speed hacking / teleporting bots that solo clear raids. I played WoW for a very very long time and this is untrue the only reason you see more in lost ark is because its f2p.
Well in WoW there are a lot of gold sellers bots or not … you guess it.
But in LA … it is very visible
Seriously…Smilegate fix your CODE, your are the DEVELOPER.
Stop coding bad patches and deploying them without proper VALIDATION and UNIT TESTING. Put some resources into better architecture, security, validation, unit testing and anti-bot code. Why are you as a developer, Smilegatge, relying soley on a third party software package AEC to do what your code should be doing in preventing bots. Your code is seriously lacking.
Stop pushing your BAD code through the code pipeline. Stop deploying code without proper UNIT TESTING. Smilegate take responsibility for your failed code. The code is seriously lacking as of now.
WoW has a lot of bots too and Blizzard hasn’t been able to do anything for it.

Seriously I’ve never in my life seen a game with a worse handling of bots.
At this point the CM’s encourage botting.
Just because Amazon isnt the developer of the base game does not mean they arent responsible for certain things or doesnt work on the game, either.
Your WoW server must’ve been very safe since I had Chinese names spamming WTS Gold on Illidian every day. The only savior for me was addons preventing me from seeing those people type things.
