A new possible solution for EAC 10011 Error

To clarify, this solution worked for me, it might or might not work for all of you.

CHECK THIS CONDITION FIRST:

  1. You have multiple drives
  2. Your Steam is installed on a different drive compared to your game folder. Example: Steam is installed on the C drive, but Lost Ark is installed on the D drive.

Try these steps:

  1. Identify if both EasyAntiCheat and EasyAntiCheat_EOS are under the same drive as where you installed the Steam.

  2. Go to Steam =>
    Right-click Lost Ark =>
    Properties =>
    Local Files

  3. Select “Move install folder…”

  4. Select the drive that you have steam and both EAC folders I mentioned above installed.

  5. Click Move

TLDR:
Just go to steam and move Lost Ark to the same drive as where you installed the steam.

I am no expert in application development, but I do notice EAC with 10011 errors caused a lot of freezing issues. I am wondering if EAC somehow can’t find the path to some files that it needs when different roots are in play.

This is my exact same setup. I have Lost Ark on a D drive with Steam on C. I have both of those Easy Cheat folders on the C drive. I don’t have enough space to move Lost Ark to my C drive. Do you think the solution will work if I move those folders to my D drive? Thnx

Hello @jack1563tw,

I thank you for posting this possible solution in the forums and hope it helps others that may be getting the same error message. @dtruong2011, from what I gather @jack1563tw did and given the logic behind this fix is to have all the files in the same place, that just may work but bear in mind we cannot guarantee that as this still needs more testing on user’s behalves.

I will keep an eye on this post in case some help is needed.

Wont work for me, since my C is only systerm drive and i have no room for anything else

I don’t know why, but I don’t have any folder named “EasyAntiCheat_EOS”. I checked again after verify the integrity of files.

Thanks for the response. This solution won’t work for me since I don’t have enough space on my C drive to move the game over.

I installed Steam on my D drive and moved the two Easy Anti-Cheat folders there too, but I got the same EAC error. It’s probably because starting the game creates another EAC folder on the C drive, which might be the cause of the issue.

Hoping for a fix soon
