Simple question. I want the general opinion of the people here.
Why is the mage class more mobile then an assaassin class?

Why is the mage class more mobile then an assaassin class?
As an assassin main player, my ass has been kicked a lot in rank these days.
they love sorceress! highest dps, high mobility, loads of cc, large hit radius skills, CD back if you cancel skill and idk what more :)) anyways nerfs are coming and many say she’ll be hit hard
Because the Assassin class gets jerky mobility with 15 billion super armors while also doing massive damage with giant AoEs.
Top 10 on EU has 6 deathblades and 2 sorceresses (some shared).
Wait till reaper comes out, she will dunk sorcs as even with dashes they won’t be able to escape other than a lucky panic aoe on themselves.
Because she isn’t? Sorceress has 1 dash and zero mobility skills. Her only other movement option is through burning her identity gauge. Shadowhunter has two in her human form and 1 in her demon form. I don’t play Deathblade but I’m pretty sure she has more mobility options than even shadowhunter does.
Wait wait, when did “Assassin class” become Deathblade only ?
As a demonic with only 1 lvl 2SA, i feel offended, sir.
Do you really need mobility when you can teleport to the middle of the map from your spawn ?
btw we got 2 in our human, and 2 in demonic form
By what, burning her entire identity gauge?
I’m not disputing that sorc isn’t strong in PvP but this is literally a thread about comparing mobility. And in that regard Sorc is on the low end, behind all the martial artists, assassins, and most of the gunners.
If you see it as only mobility, i suppose you’re right, but i dont see it like that.
I see it like this :
Sorceress, if played well, is the hardest class to control/chase, because she has many defensive spell, and from my PoV, pretty low cooldown on those.
If you see mobility as time, then burning your identity to win this time is more than she need.
But if you see it just as mobility, i agree with you, she’s weak.
I would certainly agree that she’s hard to engage. Reverse gravity is incredibly strong as an anti-engagement tool (because paralysis immunity + knockdown PBAoE) and seraphic hail is a strong zoning tool as well as an anti-engagement one. So to say she’s hard to chase? Definitely. But “more mobile then an assaassin” (as the OP wrote)? Definitely not.
Her identity blink is pretty good all things considered, but you need to invest pretty heavily in spec to have it up more than sparingly, and most decent sorc builds don’t go spec or focus tripods.
I dont even found it “incredibly” strong as you say, but as a demonic i’m jealous, all my spell are slower than sorc’s one T_T
I think a lot of the PvP in this game boils down to matchups. I played sorc very early and always got absolutely bodied by deathblades and berserkers due to all their push immunity moves, and shadowhunters were easy to take out. Then I pretty much perma-switched from sorc to striker in PvP and do way better against blades but sorcs wreck me.
On the other hand, on the Scrapper I’ve been playing today, I’m destroying sorcs and doing well against deathblades, but Shadowhunters are a nightmare
The only constant for me is that I cannot for the life of me deal with Bards or Gunslingers ![]()
In PvP you NEVER use the speciality meter to activate Arcane, you will always be using the Blink, which makes you the most mobile class in PvP.
you are clueless
Which you get about every 6 skills assuming you hit all off them. That’s not a lot of mobility.
The most easy class to use and do PVP! I got Sorcerer yesterday it’s so much easy to do damage and kill with this class is ridiculous!
6 skills takes about 8 seconds to get off considering that the main Sorc PvP build uses like 4 instant-cast, instant-cc abilities.
