Whats the difference between RMT in game and RMT 3rd party? The rate of gold being sold is controlled at all times and it can be adjusted at any time so that it doesn’t ruin the market place. 3rd Party RMT is indiscriminate and completely wrecks the economy, requires an insane amount of botting to meet demand (thus massive queue times), and as a result the experience for everyone involved is utter garbage because it can literately force you to not play the game. Not because you’re turned off by it, but because the server capacity is inflated by bots that restrict real players from logging in.
There are other secondary factors which play upon the core elements of participating in an MMORPG as a player whether you be F2P or not. Having illigitimate gains and not being punished for it gives you unfair power and unfair advantage. People who say they aren’t affected live under a rock or are woefully ignorant. Everyone is affected in some capacity, most players interact with other players. You in game experience will thus be impact by how others play the game. The status quo is a thing. You don’t just operate indifferent to the issues faced in society do you? No you don’t, the same applies to the game. Just because it’s a video game doesn’t mean you arent subjected to the affects of human interaction. These are people who gatekeep, not the game.
These are people who participate in the free market, not NPC’s. You have to be an imbecile to legitimately think 3rd party RMT doesn’t have greater ramifications once people try to tell you in all earnest that 3rd party RMT is toxic more harmful and toxic than any in game currency exchange. Sure in game currency exchanges are sanctioned P2W vehicles by which you allow players to buy power, but at least its regulated.

Bullshit. It does not. It limits how much you can purchase per day and that’s it. It does not limit inflation. AGS nerfed the gold income for players so bots came in to fill the demand. That’s the real reason. Congratulations now. You shills justified the gold nerfs so players not inflate the economy. Ok, players did not inflate the economy, bots did. And now the game is fucked beyond repair. Hope you’re proud.
I for one do not see any difference between the 2 types of RMT. Ok, Amazon is getting less money but that’s a good thing. They destroyed the game in the first place so I am fine with them getting financial losses and bots fucking them in the ass.

The RMT that is implemented in the game is technically against their own TOS by the way. So if RMT through bots illegitimate, so is through their cash shop. Also, because RMT is the core business mechanic of the game, you cannot punish players who do RMT both through the cash shop and through bots, because you have no way of knowing whether they are legit or not. If RMT was not built in the game, you would have an easy time spotting 1500+ RMT whales. But as it is right now, you don’t have this option. That is why they do 1-3 days ban.

The dragon that Kadan 1 shots was a T2 abyss raid (similar to Argos but for T2). Look up videos on youtube for Kaishur raid. This content was removed from the game in KR though because no one else was doing it there since everyone was WAY ahead of the item level. But for our content, it would’ve been a nice experience and a nice gold income source.

Gold is regulated by AGS/SG via those systems, it’s all interwoven. They’ve effectively put a harsher cap on potential earnings in our region as a preventative measure for inflation so gold retains it’s value. Bots don’t care about inflation, they will generate as much gold is necessary to sell to their customers. Customers whose only interest is to get as strong as possible by nay means necessary.
Right so as I have been telling others and I will continue to say, players like yourself who endorse 3rd party RMT aren’t people with good intent. You’re willing to see an entire economy crash, a server ruined all for the sake of being vindictive. If you think the game in NA/EU is not worth playing because gold is hard to come by and they are shaking our pockets for a lack luster product, why not quit? Why engage? Why intentionally sabotage? Because you don’t care about anyone but yourself.
Whats your next argument, that everyone is individually motivated so who cares, everyone is looking out for themselves anyway? It’s your opinion they destroyed the game, and if you don’t agree with it you’re free to not participate. If this was the reasoning, then you have the answer why there are bots and RMT is so widespread. AGS/SG essentially took the gold from players and allowed bots to fill the void for the scarcity they created. The law of unintended consequences.
Like I said before they set the conditions for the environment, that analysis is fair. But to engage in cheating doesnt absolve you from the fact that you cheated with intention and it’s having direct harm . This isn’t a shilling take because there are people who chose NOT to cheat. Who kept their integrity and didn’t try to take a moral high ground. If you think the game was bad, why cheat in it and ruin it for everyone else. Why make a situation worse? Because you wanna act like a vindictive ex girlfriend? All you had to do was quit the game and leave a negative review on steam. That serves a far better purpose than cheating.
Amazon fucked the game experience. They deserve it. I don’t endorse RMT through bots as I do not RMT in general. But I don’t complain about bots either since RMT is the business model of the game. For me, there is no difference between whaling by pressing F4 or whaling by purchasing gold from shady Ugandan merchants. Whaling is still whaling, regardless if some reach Kraken or Leviathan modes.
If you are sincere about this, you don’t complain only about bots. You complain about the business model of the game which permits this sort of fuck ups. If this game had no RMT, one could easily spot a whale who RMTs. But since this business model is at the core of the game, you can’t tell who RMTs legit and who does it in an illicit manner.

That is what happens when you implement a system that can be abused. It is always a matter of when it is abused. In-game RMT had the unintended consequences of fucking the game experience with a million bots. This type of RMT might’ve been working in KR because you need verification through documents, but surprise, it doesn’t work in NA/EU.
In RU, botting was not a thing because gold was not scarce as in our version of the game. Russians also don’t like p2w so the game was adjusted in a manner where you could generate enough gold to buy what you need from the cash shop. As such, botting was unprofitable.
Discussions about cheating or not are pointless. If you haven’t noticed, AGS is fucking us with dragon dicks. 10-20 more dicks after a thousand won’t make a dent.
AGS didn’t even bother Westernizing the game. Or for them Westernization mean painting the face of an NPC in black and censoring outfits. Scoring woke points saves more money than actually change the business model of the game and the mechanics inherited from KR. Then everyone wonders why ALL Korean games fail when they release on West. It is because of this.
