Account Boosting

ok?

its a diff post and not by me xD
and its also a whole different story…

im shocked with what i work here i thought were on the same page since its 2022 and everybody has internet and a Brain that somehow work. but i guess none of this matters xD

Woah
imagine playing game
sharing acc info (breakint ToS)
so you can not play the game

guys… guysss… this is a different topic…

are you out of options and arguments for the topic ( boost/acc sharing ) since there is proof through the code of conduct ?

if yes then just stop

none sense xDDDD

im willing to talk about it but this aint a twitch forum :3
and im talking here about a game issue and not in any kind of streamers or twitch wth.

Basically they’ve states that “You shouldn’t create more than 1 account” but I mean how are they gonna police this realisically?

there millions of ways to detect it

and since we launch EasyAntiCheat by every Game Start it also has informations about you and the account were u login

Yeah but you can just claim that it’s your flatmate playing or some shit

but what u gonna say if they see daily logins from this and this then again this and this ?

you say : oh yea well im on vacation every weekly reset?

They can barely get on top of RMT and bots do u really think they have time to quiz you on this?

Sure they have more to do with the RMT/Bot Problem but its also a topic that couldve just been solved faster and fixed easier.

I Played alot of different MMO’s and there is plenty of good ways to ruin bots and RMT but in our case its a different story

but still they have the logs, location,Ip’s,id’s.
its not hard to track that at all.

especially if you do live stream it and youre not even hiding it

I’m not entirely sure why you even care tbh…

cause its ruining the environment and structure of matchmaking/pugs.

example: i create my own raid lobby. Title = 2 Relic pieces + know mechs.

people joining, im checking stats etc ok they have 2 piece? ok accepted.

then were in the raid and all of the sudden people with 2 pieces and +20 +++ weapons die before the first break of arena what makes me think.

we retry it happends again. i quit.

so what i means, you can get people who have the 2 pieces cuz they go carried , boosted , what ever and it ruins other experience by running in a non static who just wanna kill the boss quick.

there is a reason why certain people who create a lobby for a raid ( Gatekeep ) cuz they dont want to waste time and time is important in LA

This is at the very least a grey area. While the TOS and COC both seemingly say that this is forbidden it is somewhat open to interpretation as to what their wording means. The TOS says:

You may not share, sell, rent, or transfer your account. You are responsible for (i) maintaining the confidentiality of your account log-in credentials and for restricting access to your account, and (ii) all actions that occur under your account, including purchases.

However I think that this is not really explicitly forbidding the sharing of your account, so much as serving as a warning that you are still responsible for what happens on your account regardless of who is playing on it. For example if that streamer were to do something that got the account banned the player would have no recourse through appeals to regain access to the game.

The COC on the other hand is a bit clearer on this and is not really very open to interpretation.

Under section 2 it reads

Do not : engage in behaviors that reduce or disrupt the enjoyment of the game for others. This includes spamming chat, griefing, throwing matches, boosting, win-trading, trolling, or spoiling the game by sharing unreleased or confidential materials.

This would need to be expanded on by someone from AGS as to the intent behind their wording here. If they are referring to boosting here as simply playing someone else account for them or if they are referring strictly to paid boosting. If it is the former then it is pretty clear that this is a violation. Burden of proof would likely fall on the owner of the account to prove that no money changed hands if it is referring to the later.

Under section 4 it reads:

Do not sell, trade, or share accounts.

But again in this case I think it is primarily referring to your responsibility for the actions of your own account regardless of who is playing it.

@Azanaa or someone from @Community-Team might be willing to comment on this and clarify whether this is something that they actually care about or not.

shouldn’t need any clarification, it clearly says you may not… nothing iffy or unclear about that

the responsibility is another statement entirely

Let me guess, the thread is now flooded with streamer white knights. When in fact, the matter is already out of OP hands and AGS has the final judgement if they want to enforce the TOS agreement or not.

Personally, I don’t mind account sharing.

Ok but how do u know those people have 2 accounts? They could just be shit players… like wat?

uhm u can never tell.

but you will feel it if you wipe multiple time on an basicly Tutorial boss
then you watch other players, check the name + server and then you can most of the time tell if hes boosted / new or just bad

imo.

Things are never that cut and dry when it comes to enforcement though. VPN usage for example was explicitly forbidden by the TOS and for months they did not enforce it. Even now if you try to login with a VPN at worst your connection will be refused. Your account will not be banned for it.

Even the CS team are dubious about giving a firm yes or no to this.

I am leaning towards you being correct in this though that it is probably not allowed.

it is boosting whether or not you get anything for it
