ACTIVELY cutting down the 1415 Pass to make the game worse?

I figured out from which player in Korea they had the same thing that it was until 1415

Game should have released in February with 1305 pass and 1415 super express and Valtan included in the launch. This drip feeding of updates serves no benefit to the players only to the bank accounts of Amazon.

And yet we’re progressing as players faster than any other region has. Remember when people were telling NA/EU players that certain level ranges and csrd sets take years? We’ve got them in months, were not korea we play differently and we play harder. Time the game has been out is irrelevant.

Even with the one event a month, butchered content and low material game we’ve been faster than every other region.

I’ve stopped playing (grind burn out). Reading this post just confirms again that the only why to progress in this game are 1) swipe or 2) FTP alts and invest most of your free time.

  1. I swiped and realized very quickly that you can sink a lot of money quickly into this game to lvl. And once l leveled the content was very repetitive, legion raids included.
  2. Alts are cool but leveling them is hell for the point noted above (very repetitive).

Side note, the dancing event is the biggest load of … I’ve every played in this game!!

lol, no.

noone asked. im f2p 1475 with another vykas nm alt, a valtan alt and +2 more valtan alts as soon as we get the passes. keep your uneducated assumptions to yourself.

I’ve said this before, but its clear AGS is intentionally trying to slow us down but is also not making the same mistake of JP and RU.

This is evidenced by their methodology around the class release (roxx being like “we slowing this down for the health of the game.”)

I don’t think they believe they will make more money if the west reaches KR endgame, as they probably have “business intelligence” which suggests that players are more willing to spend in preparation for known content (clown, brelshaza, artist) than for unknown content.

Therefore, they are attempting to strike a middleground between “release it all” and “JP 1 year shushire endgame.”

I forgot do I meme about this complaint or complain about this meme?

Let’s say Bob and Alice each build a house, Bob builds one for JP while Alice builds one for NA.

Bob takes 1-year to farm his materials, build his house and complete. He is paid 100k for his work.

Alice takes 4-months to farm the same amount of materials, build her house and complete. She is paid 20k for her work.

Both houses are identical, in fact, Alice has worked even harder than Bob completing the same tasks in a shorter amount of time.

When Alice queries NA why she was paid less for the same house, she is told “The house has been built in less than half a year, and there will be more houses to build in the future”.

Explain to me why Alice should accept and put up with that kind of treatment?

This!!
It’s just easier to say consumers are entitled/cry babies when they’re not happy with something that is “free”. What these people don’t understand is that it was AGS/SG that said they want the global version to “catch up” with KR so it’s obvious that we’re getting content (that’s done and not in development - it’s never too much explaining the obvious here!) faster and that’s also obvious that if we’re getting content relatively faster people will expect to get to these new content, again, faster! But no, it’s a free to play game so we should just shut up and accept whatever shit they throw at us!

This something i’ve said before, I hope that one day the gaming community wake up and realize that even in a free to play game they’re still consumers and should not expect any less than the best for their time.

Very nice response. Well said.

What a fail analogy. You forgot where Alice was gifted about 80% of her materials and then there were events were she was given more stuff for free and didnt have to put as much effort into the building because everything came pre-built.  :joy:

My friend who I gave all my gold to stopped played after I stopped. It’s way less fun without those friends…

This was a major argument of mine against slow class releases. The longer they wait, the harder it will be to catch up. If the 3 (4 now) characters I want to play the most are still unreleased, then catching up with them will be horrible when the time comes. Let’s not forget a key component to catching up, even with a powerpass

Taken from another thread:

It’s one thing to fight through this on your main, but needing to go through 10-20% chances on a character I’m already so far behind on sounded absurd, even if I liked the game. I almost quit 2-3 times due to my ‘main’ being 4th in line when considering unreleased classes.

Lost Ark takes advantage of player addiction, so many players push through it, but I’m glad I chose to look further into the future and quit. It took 3-4 weeks to get rid of the addictive impulses, but at this point I’m actually free.

Don’t worry though, the game won’t die due to horridly unfair RNG and AGS’s stinginess; it’s clear they don’t care if the playerbase goes down to 60k at this rate.

Related from another thread:

Firstly, kudos for getting rid of bots. I’d say the same for RMTers, but there’s no easy graph to see, unlike with bots.

However, I see a slip into denial when it comes to player retention. I almost got hooked on Lost Ark; if my class(es) were going to release in a few months, I’d probably be unable to get away, even if I hated the honing RNG.

So yeah, I’d like to thank AGS for holding class releases back, otherwise I wouldn’t have gotten back into so many other games.

No, don’t give me the “just play all of them!” nonsense. Lost Ark played with my dopamine to the extent that nothing else was enjoyable for a good 2-3 weeks after quitting. I hated it, but the distaste for AGS and their stingy decisions made it possible.

Interestingly enough, it’s the competition between games that let me see the class release cadence and go “nope, I’m off to play something else. No point in coming back, because it’s not guaranteed that my friends will come back, and it’ll take too long to catch up.”

If you read my post as being spiteful, you would be right. I’m happy to be done with the game, but there is a part of me that still wants to play those 3 (4 now) classes.

There are many reasons to not even try though, so I’m grateful for kicking me out the door with that initial decision.

Anyways, I haven’t posted here for 16 days, but wanted to see how it was doing after watching some of the Dragonflight alpha (flying looks cool.)

Still not sure if I can trust Blizzard again, but I guess that’s why I can just wait and see if the devs screw up again. Currently, I know I can’t trust AGS though, so it’s the lesser of two evils it seems.

I agree with this post. There is literally 0 negative impact on having 1415 express. I dont care about the negatives that people claim, i am 10000% sure that positives outweigh the negatives!! Please dont mention bots being the problemin aquiring this pass/event. the bots are running rampant with or without the pass. Lets not forget about the Queues a few weeks ago!!!

Man its just a video game. You might want to find something else to do or talk to someone.

While I dont give a shit what type of powerpass they had in other versions. I do agree that AGS and SMG are purposely making our time playing this game worse.

Why they only make a 1370 pass right now just illustrates the disconnect that these guys have. A 1415 pass would have been simply too good because that would have been exactly on point and what we want. Its also perfect for new players potentially because they get straight to Valtan where (according to the developers) the highest player retention time is there. but no no, AGS?SG says no. they need to milk more and actively make attempts to make the experience worse and dont give a shit about player retention time.

People already told you about accelerated content needs better catch up and etc… yet you still try to use this as an argument on a 5 year old game. It’s not our fault that you withhold content.

At this point: logic has left the conversation.
