Quest in home instance
received small gramophone. then used small gramophone.
Quest says to deploy a small gramophone somewhere to change the mood. ~but I already used it
Nickella in the home instance is stuck on “Add melody into the Space” quest and I cannot continue past this point without the small gramophone that I have already used.

You use it and then physically place it in the stronghold. You are supposed to use it and place it
Thank you very much. I was missing that part - once you said that, I was able to find it under the “prop” section of the placement menu and place it to continue past my quest.
Yep exactly ! 
Using the item in the inventory grants the item to be placed. Then you place it and continue.
Keep in mind there is a bug with the KR voice pack the vocal Songs don’t play currently

The Nickella NPC provides the gramophone which is placed into Standard Inventory. Once it is used the device or Prop goes into the Stronghold’s “Furniture, Structure & Prop Inventory” which can be viewed by clicking on Placement Icon or use Crtl +2. Click on the Prop tab and then place the gramophone within the bordered outline of the stronghold property. Now it can be activated by clicking on it or using the G key.
