Hello! First time poster here, I’ve spent the last few hours reading various threads surrounding the topic of timed islands and how it’s becoming increasingly rare to be able to actually complete them.
I play on Galatur, NAE, and I consider myself more of a horizontal player. I can say that I have fun sailing and participating in much of the timed content of this game. And it really is fun, seeing an island full of players all contributing to whatever goal they have. But as my schedule has begun to change, I’ve noticed that the window for finding enough players for an island is becoming smaller and smaller. As I know it’s been mentioned before how less players are participating in co-op/PvP islands.
On my server, even at what I would think would be peak hours (17:00 - 23:00), there are cases where islands fail to start (Death’s Hold), or fail to finish (Spida Island) if not enough players are participating. I think it’s unfair for content to be unintentionally restricted by declining active player numbers, less players in need of said content, or whatever reason causes less people to want to show up. It leaves those who do unable to interact in any meaningful way.
Thanks for reading my late night ramble haha. Has there been any word on what measures, if any, AGS/Smilegate (sorry, I honestly don’t know who is in charge of in-game changes) are planning in relation to the timed/collectible content? Island reworks? Scaling?
