Never said they shouldn’t make money off the game. The point is the way they’re making money off the game is just wrong. And it’s just sad to see another great MMO die because of wrong decisions for the sake of money which you could have made the same if not more with diff approach.
you know you are playing a f2p game, that needs also money to be able to exist? So be thankfull to those whales that they are founding your game so you can play it for free. In this game you can achieve everything. There are three options. Spend a lot of time ,money or take it slowly but you will be behind. Its your choice.
Nobody’s getting it for the dmg some are litterally the nicest skins in the game and people want them which is logical, what’s not logical is having to spend plus minus 500 to get ine. Stop fighting people on this, it’s predatory and unnecessary. Nobody loses if this kind of thing is pushed back and changed

Why do you think only entitled F2P players are not okay with Yoz’s Jar gacha lootbox mechanic? That’s a very narrow minded way of thinking.
I beg to differ. Here are some of the opposing opinions. There are more if you bothered to do a simple search of the keyword “Yoz”.
Most people cover their legendary skins with purple skins… i agree tho that some if them are realy dope… but anyway if you dont want to gamble for them use gold… if you cant afford that you wont be able to afford getting leg engravings and accesories either… i dont see anything bad with this… it is anoing but also gives you another chase item to work for…
Just because forum warriors are not ok with it, doesn’t change that they still can get it without paying a single cent.
As long as you can get everything without paying, there is no need to change the system. The Skins do not make you better at playing the game. They don’t give you THE EDGE. They do a slight + in DPS, under 1%. So there is nothing wrong with the system. Let those who want minmax with money do it. Let those who don’t be able to still gamble with pure gold.
Where exactly is the issue if people stop looking at what others can afford? It’s none of the people’s business. They profit from those spenders in this game. So stop making them the bad ones just because they work more / had more luck in live.

Does it ever occurred to you that not everyone is getting the skin for DPS increase? Perhaps they just want to look good in it?
AGS/SG have been selling skins directly on the cash shop and it was not met with overwhelming negative feedback like this. So, why introduce gacha lootbox skins now or ever? Just price the skin higher in the cash shop as a full set without RNG involved.

And if they just want the look: BUY it with gold or wait. There is no need to get everything asap. There is no need to get everything period. Wait, farm gold, buy it.
This is a function which is as it is in KR. I don’t see the need to change it just so people in NA/EU can get everything faster. And if it’s just for the looks: even less need is there.
I’d rather the publishers/developers make these legendary skins purchasable straight from the in-game store at a reasonable price instead of locked behind rng gacha boxes. If these skins are obtained exactly like how it is in Lost Ark Kr then only the whales would be able attempt for these. It is what it is so not much we can do I suppose.

Did you know that pet stats are rng in KR? you need to roll it using blue crystals.
The fact that they changed it for NA/EU shows that they know the appetite of our region with regards to RNG. Honing, item drop chance, skill tree transfer and quality upgrades are understandably core mechanics, and it’s kind of acceptable that they don’t change that.
However, Yoz’s Jar is not core mechanic. My question is why are they able to change pet stats to non-rng but not Yoz’s Jar?

Literally nobody said they want the skins for free so atol making things up. I made. Post about this before. There are tons of people saying they would even pay 50-100 for a premium skin. The point is not having a free skin or as cheap as others. The point is knowing what your paying for and actually paying and getting what you want. Not having to gamble +/- 500 dollars to be lucky enough to get what you are aiming for. 500 dollars is fucking rent for some people or multiple months of food. And there’s nothing strange about people wanting some of the best looking skins in the game for their class logical, they are even willing to pay more for it than a basic skin but having it be random and a money drain is unnecessary. There’s 0 logic in you people fighting the complaints about this because if we just get to buy what we want and have a set price for it everyone benefits
Nobody loses if you just make a high price people can pay but at least know exactly what they want. Fighting people on this is just being egotistical

Its a frigging skin for crying out loud. If someone wants to rng it with real money let them. We have lots of skins that are purchasable with a set amount of cash.
I’m F2P, except the powerpass, and am happy with the system. I’ll be buying it with gold, because I also don’t want to RNG a skin with real money. But that does not mean it is a bad thing nor that I disagree with it.
It is fine. Not for me, but it is fine.

I am aware of the state of the game in KR and RU. Yes. I still don’t care and I planned for it to be that way. it’s nice it was done otherwise, but it won’t affect my opinion in the slightest. Why do people assume others are not aware of information openly available? It does not change my opinion in the slightest. I can get everything the Jar offers for gold. So it doesn’t matter at all.
Well, even though it’s sad that we can’t see eye to eye but you’re entitled to your opinion. I’m just sad to see that gamers are okay with lootboxes these days.
