Mate is a free to play game. If someone wants to buy some items, let them. This game need money as any other business to be able to function. So be glad that we have whales that are paying for the game so we can play for free (i spend 20-30€ each month on skins to support game, because i want to pay them for time i spend ingame). Otherwise the game will die if it inst profitable. So its good that we have the option to choose to pay money to progress, to spend a lot of time to progress ot just take it slowly , enjoy and have fun. In the end you will the the same content but a little but later on.

the whale is saying there is a problem with this rng and there is a precedent already set with the pet change specifically for this region

I totally get it man. I’m not oppose to the idea of monetization of a free-to-play game. It’s the rng gacha lootbox mechanic that get on my nerves.
There’s a guy who keeps arguing with me using the principle of “Just because you’re not okay with it, doesn’t mean we are too”. I’m trying to make him see that it’s a vice versa situation.
Being able to obtain a clearly large and unattainable advantage that negatively affects the F2P population.
e.g. buying the best gear through the cash shop while the F2P has no access to this, and/or being able to use this advantage AGAINST F2P.
its not a white knight armor, im just accepting as it is. I was waiting for this game for more than 8 years. Im aware of all its mechanics. I dont like some, but i accept them because they are part of a whole system that work in other region. If you dont like something dont think that everyting is gonan change because you dont like it. Im okey with state of the game as it is. Not not a joung pepega, i value my time and i can accept thing as they are. RNG is part of this game. Okey. Nobody is pushing you to take part of that RNG with skins. Its your decision. This whole game is build on RNG factors.

You cant buy the best sets from AH = you need to kill raids/bosses to earn them. So you can be a whale , but if you are a pepega, you will get nothing.
I do not really see any issue with this. I did some calculations, let me know if I am wrong, If you spend like 40k buying 2.5k gold per skin on the AH you get 16 pieces which is equivalent to 8 rolls on the jars, plus 4 more rolls if you dismantle every skin that you end up rolling for. I see this as basically free gold if you end up getting at least one legendary skin which in our version of the game would go over 50k for sure. So, if you are able to do 40k or more a week you could have a legendary skin in 1 or 2 months for free. 2nd option is buying it from the AH which is what most F2P people should do. I am not saying that lootboxes are fine, but you can always dodge the bullet with patience and grind.
There are some “regions” where people are opressed and treated like slaves, in the world.
Would you accept them over here too, just because they “work” in other areas of the world?

Do you see what’s going on in Diablo Immortal? Do you think that’s acceptable if there wasn’t a set precedence with how normalized lootbox mechanic is over the course of many many years?
The reason Diablo Immortal is not DOA is because gamers are so accustomed to lootbox mechanics for over a decade.

The answer is your specific hypothesis is yes, that is P2W. I can recognise that.
This topic however is about a skin that gives you 1% (or less) damage boost for a skin that is easily obtainable through the AH using gold. The advantage is so small is barely exists and there is nothing that prevents a player from enjoying the game if they do not acquire this.
You are correct to define a limit to my line of reasoning. That is correct.
