After watching many Vykas and Kakul Saydon guide videos on youtube, I have decided to quit the game

Which means he has no clue but needs affirmation on the forum lmao

I feel for this guy and to the people saying ‘just go get a guild’ or whatever you have to understand the context of what your average new players is dealing with…

Roster Level is Low = Auto Rejects in a LOT of content
No Titles = More Rejects in a LOT of content
4x3x? can’t get to 5x3 because LOL inflation = More Rejection

You’ll get accepted in low skill / learning parties which will be an absolute NIGHTMARE of an experience if you just happen to be decent at the game but new.

So just go make your own group…Sorry to people who think this but that’s easier said then done for some people if you’re not extraverted or a streamer…The go make your own group excuse for bad game design leading to gate keeping on extreme levels is bollux.

Lost Ark has been mis managed in the west and that’s on SG/AGS we are bleeding players like this guy because the game experience for new players is trash.

WAIT who’s watching guides 10 hours a day for legion raids? You’re overexaggerating way too much my dude. It sound like a skill issue and I hope you find an easier game that suit you.

finding guilds in this game is um atrocious like omfg bad the worse I have ever seen in a game.

Like lets just take out the MMORPG and move to shooters
You can find a group of people join a clan easier in a game like Modern Warfare where mics muted half the time. Easier than this shitshow not an MMORPG. Like my god the social interaction in general nonexistent just look at AREA chat logs. You have to go OUTSIDE the game to find guilds and this 1000% b/c of the alt system. Every guild just wants your main. 5+ guilds that you join yeah are alt guilds characters that are lopang Valtan Vykas NM Una Slaves that we are forced to play.

shit some of these choices so bad lol

Lol is it? I feel every mmorpg that has an end game raid will have a cheat sheet. Have you seen ultimates/savage ffxiv cheat sheets and guides? Those are like 8 page essays

The issue is not really the difficulty of the raids. Just by watching videos the mechanics seem confusing and it’s definitely a lot to remember, but once you experience them a few times it gets considerably easier.

The problem is that in this game you have very few opportunities to just try things out and acquire experience. We can quickly summarize the issue like this:

  1. The game is built around having and playing multiple characters to support your main;
  2. With multiple characters, you have to do the content multiple times every week;
  3. Since you have to do it multiple times, you want to get done with it as quickly as possible;
  4. To get things done as quickly as possible, you only accept people on good characters (ilvl, engravings, gems) and who can demonstrate experience (title, roster lvl, character lvl).
  5. As consequence, new players have a very hard time finding parties, and when they do find them they will understandably make mistakes and get shamed.
  6. Since they can’t play, they don’t acquire experience. And in case they stick around, they will take longer to get stronger characters since they’re mostly locked out of the rewards unless they have a lot of time and are very persistent.

This both a design flaw that is likely never getting addressed and a community issue. Though the game design incentivizes gatekeeping, we are not robots and should be doing much more to foster a healthy environment that can welcome new players. Some people do a lot, but many more have a negative impact on new players’ experiences.

In the videos it looks more than it really is. Then you talk about vikas and clowns at the same time. You will have to kill vikas more than 50 times to get a foot in clown with 5x3. This does not apply with valtan, but it is recommended to learn even how to shit before making the jump to vikas.

Don’t worry, all the people buying busses will soon realise that all they do is grinding to get stronger to do pointless chaos dungeons and guardian raids and eventually quit at some point, i never said this about any other game in my life, but this game is going to die because it only caters to hardcore players and we all know, this ain’t cutting it.

Best of luck to you dude, many people done the same. It’s not for everyone and i’m glad you got a good 700 hours out of the game.

Hope you find the next adventure soon. =]

As with any raid the hard part is the first month. Once more people clear it will become a chore.

Vykas hard was a nightmare first weeks, now most players know what they’re doing so it’s just a oneshot most of the time.

Problem is…this first month will make players quit non stop, until at Akkan there will be only 100 players left lol.

lowkey we should’ve recognize if u reflect

the blind NA streamers open
Shills that were lying about the game, “respect your time” lol
But pay closely attention to how the KR streamers talked about the game back then:

“Buy the bus
Try finding a party good luck tee hee lol
Need 5x3
Buy the bus hahahahaha
Game gets better when Argos
Game gets better when Vykas
Game gets better when Clown”

Game get…quit moving goal post already and now we all know why they trolling say “Buy the bus” “good luck finding a party” If you observe the blind NA streamers like DatModz hes like I’m not buying a bus man want to enjoy content blah blah blah. I swear its 2 totally diff cultures man.

“Quits” the game but still acts on irrelevant forums & replies to his own little thread like he cares about the game, the actual classic.

Just saying, embrace the bus :wink: :bus:

FREEDOM

The amount of fked up responses in this thread is astounding. I’d just like to highlight the hypocrisy of saying “the game is not hard because raid were nerfed”. The game is difficult, even for “experienced” players on these forums. A majority of people failed to clear clown G3 week 1 despite it being the nerfed version. People have spent dozens of hours progging every raid that has been released thus far despite having full fleshed guides months in advance. None of you are as good as you think you are lol. The game is indeed difficult even by your own metrics because to this day “experienced” players still jail other players. None of you have EVER been jailed in a title Vykas or Valtan run, never? I call cap. Severe capping going on in this thread. OP has nothing to be ashamed of, community is hostile for literately zero reason. I don’t know why people get so defensive when others say the game is hard, lacking basic social elements and systems even found in other MMOs or is just straight up dialed up to a thousand on elitism. None of these statements are falsehoods lol.
