If they seriously closed down this forum, it would be posted anywhere else, and go through all the news.
FFxiv only took down their forum during the time that they were redesigning the game. So yes, that did work out well for them. Also entirely different situation.
Dude the game was a dumbsterfire early and when you wanted to complain you had nowhere you could do that. They literally didn’t let you create a topic or write a post on the forums backthen some weeks after release. It was way before they took the game down
It worked out in a way that people bombed negative reviews wherever they could during that time lol

Just amazing how sad this clown world has become. What’e even more amazing is that most of the people that want to continually censor those that have a different view will actually have the nerve to then say they are for free speech and all that jazz. These people are this clueless about how completely detached from reality they are.
One thing living in this nightmare of a reality has shown me, especially over the last 5 years, is how a good portion of society living in supposed “free countries” are truly just wannabe tyrants and authoritarians. They’d have fit in well in bolshevik Russia and amusingly enough, just as the bolsheviks murdered up to 60 million people that wouldn’t bend the knee to them, these people would love to murder people like me too since I am not part of their insane ideology of censoring everyone that doesn’t agree with me.
The world needs to be split in half where the authoritarians and tyrants live in one half and the rest of us that actually value free speech and other freedoms live in the other.

Forums aren’t just for giving feedback.
There is a section specifically called Feedback. If you want that, go there.
General Discussion is for everything else, including whining and inhouse PvP among players.

My addiction to reading these threads is getting unhealthy. Ban me plz.
Ironic how the ones that ask for them to close down the forums are the very ones that are regulars here… Just using new accounts everyday for a new bs they want to share.
Restrict Feedback to Feedback specific subforums. Start handing out warnings and squelches to those not posting in the correct subforum.
Squelch toxic posters. Let them read, that’s about it.
The last thing would be just to remove General Discussion. The avenue for toxicity is gone, forum posts will now land in the sub forums they belong in, and less troll-like posting/negativity would exist.
Problem solved.
LoL did that and everything get better. LoL had the most toxic forum out there before they closed it.

Or they can moderate their forums so legit criticism and discussion gets through. Advocating for censorship is about the laziest idea and the laziest thing AGS can do.

I’ve used the forums for months now and I’m 100% in favour of just closing them, this place is a toxic hellhole where good discussions went to die a long time ago.
Get the CMs to focus their attention on anything else but whatever this place is trying to be, it really serves no purpose but to stoke hate and sow division.

This forum literally has a group of like 10 people who run around screaming the same few lines about how terrible the game is and how it will die unless it does x, then proceeds to go around screaming rmt, whale, no lifer, white knight, cope to anything they see that they don’t agree with.

If you don’t like these forums I suggest reddit, the upvote/downvote function filters out the trash.
reddit is just as much a cesspool as any mmo forums are XD
