AGS didn't ban KR IPs because of bots but because of rights

It’s fine you’re super smart

i also think this is true tbh. There aren’t that many bot users in KR and even if that was the case, they already have much more contents and a legit sever in KR so they wouldn’t even bother paying for vpns just to use bots in NA.

They probably won’t either, those people give them money and botters don’t buy servers/IPs from territories that expensive.

Still it feels really weird to block KR IP now, they let all Koreans play this whole time to shut them down 4 months later? What is this? Smells incompetence.

Then why didn’t they just blocked off all those region without publishing right from the start?

Why wait 4 months later?

and without saying a word, allowed those people to spend money on the game, and then blocked them?

I agree with you on this.

That’s what i’m saying, and this is not something whatever it’s really serious problem, what about the people investing into the game? how can any company do this without any consequences and how can streamers from KR still able to play the game from Korea? Is this against the rules or do they have privileges? If its the case that’s even worse

You dont know what you are talking about.

I love when people say that without any further explanations
Thanks for your contribution dumbass

Maybe have a read and look around first, you would have known this affects people inside published regions aswell, would have saved you creating this thread purely to bash other players.

Still no explanations
Thanks for your contribution dumbass

It’s not. Only. KR.

What is there to explain if you dont read what i just said? It’s really not that hard.

Like i said, you don’t know what you are talking about, this topic is just here to fuel fire and bash people.

OK, now bots have more free slot to join in
Naisuuu~~

Yesterday when i posted this it was only on KR, if you talking about Taiwan it is the same for them. No rights issue.
If something changed between my post say it don’t type “yOu DoNt KnOw AnYtHiNg” and leave

Ouch. All I said was “it’s not only KR” and you get offended somehow?

The second sentence wasnt for you but the other jerk saying that

But the question is why now? They could have done that right from launch but no suddenly out of nowhere banning KR IPs conveniently during the fight against botter.

Possibility is they forgot or just didnt pay that much attention. That sounds dumb but who knows AGS is not in their first mistake
Other possibility is Smilegate warned them about that and they had no choice to block now.

People are conflating access and selling/marketing.

Outside of China due to legal reasons, companies generally don’t do geoblocks due to routing and those traveling abroad even if they don’t have publishing rights. So doing geoblocks is usually seen as an attempt or last ditch effort to curb an issue, in this cause it seems to restrict bots from routing through these regions. It being effective or not is another story.

What AGS is doing is mostly PR in countering those being mad about losing access from those regions, as saying they didn’t have publishing rights to begin with, so those who where playing from those regions where violating ToS to begin with.

As for SG “upholding” publishing rights is an odd counter, because if that was the case then they would also push region locks on those trying to access KR/RU/JP from regions those don’t have rights to as well.

I see but i thought that was already the case for other regions
