AGS Update on QUES

I’m just glad they are giving compensation this time around for EU too

Just imagine the people sitting in 5k queues, to log in and see a “Maintenance in x minutes” announcement :joy:

Was just thinking about that…

Highly unlikely they would ever admit to a bot plague and they needed to address the players somehow. If anyone doesn’t think botters are making new accounts to take advantage of the super-express you’re literally kidding yourself. You will believe anything AGS tells you in the future.

With that said. it’s good to see them taking action on the situation at least.

The only potential action I see them taking is most likely more nerfs, affecting anybody. They might be smarter this time by doing them silently, though…

~they reduced server capacity with the full knowledge or potential to have the full knowledge it would lead to the aforementioned queues as they should totally have this data and didn’t bother to even tell the players beforehand…

huh. why do I not believe this

This downtime will fix some of the other issues players have though which is good. Have to give them credit that it’s not just for one issue and they are doing multiple fixes with it. Good Job.

They literally did once before when they said they banned 1 million bots…

=P

i mean… once the update goes live then we will see what the truth is either the ques go away and there is no second bot wave or they dont go away and there is a second bot wave :face_in_clouds:

That is true but that acknowledgment to the public was for the positive feedback loop they would receive. " OMG amazing they removed one million bots"

Admitting to it being a part of the issue for the queues and the downtime is just a bad look. You honestly cant even blame them if they did lie.

That announcement was so wild to me. Like, holy crap, 1 million, with an ‘m’ bots?!?!

Like, yea, good at purging them and all, but over a million inauthentic accounts within a months time frame existing in the game, that was insane.

It wasn’t for just a positive feedback loop though… They made updates to the cheat engine and have literally had their CM Roxx state that the bots have come back with a vendetta when the queues started being a problem a week ago. The queue just got worse this week because of lower server capacity and more bots. They keep Acknowledging bots are a massive problem.

Now them fixing it is a problem SG has to address mostly since it’s the cheat engine they chose and they have to verify any methods they add to the client to not break the game. AGS could give as many tips as they want but ultimately a good way to cull a large population of bots has not been really implemented yet.

If anything, this game is the one game a company would want to have bots banned since the company wants people to buy gold from the currency exchange. The situation screws them over and the players too.

Man the bots gotta gooooo… Like srsly this is just painful

You’re welcome to your own opinion. I personally don’t see bots not playing a large role in these queue times when there is literally an event that gives them a free T3 for the most part.

This is literally a gold rush of an event for botter but the sad part is they need multiple new accounts to take advantage of it so it hurt players.

AGS workers went home already?? well it’s Friday night, I understand. AGS should set like mobile verification system for playing this shit. BOTS will be gone then. I hardly doubt that people with PC that can run LA won’t have a smartphone.

It has already been acknowledged by some CM’s that bots were coming back, pretty hard, last week and were adding to the queue issues then.

Now that they’ve reduced server capacity, them doing so on top of the bot resurgence is playing a factor in the queue times today.

It’s just one compounding issue after another and AGS, though they are trying, are just constantly fumbling.

Well, major fumbles indeed. Lowering the capacity while having an event so attractive to botters is just as bad. I’m just glad they are at least listening to the feedback in the background.

Some of the other issues might get fixed so that’s good. I say might because you never know at this point lol

I guess it was either reduce the server capacity to avoid the the forum backlash…which we did see for an hour instead of an entire week or delay it and suffer the backlash for an entire week. Roxx has also taken a step back it seems for a bit due to this.

But it would’ve been nice to communicate to us that they’d be doing such a thing in the meantime whilst they work to fix the issue instead of like telling us now.

I feel bad about the Roxx thing, but at least she doesn’t have to be the (rather skilled) messenger for a company that doesn’t care about it’s customers for a little while. Sure, we’re entitled but honestly, Lost Ark is also a mess of a launch in our region–and many of us have spent money on the game.

@Roxx if you see this, and you’re out there–I’m actually sorry, I was acting like a bitch. You have a ridiculously hard job, and I hope the backlash to the Glavier that caused this. I heard you were at PAX, so hopefully you’re just doing promotional stuff.
