Another decent video from Asmongold, which AGS will ignore!

Same. But it’s not like he is saying something new, people have been posting about the missing content, honing rates, gold nerf to dungeons, na/eu version being the most p2w one, etc. Since the Argos release. It’s just that they get flooded by the mokoko-t2-seed-farming gang.

He’s right, devs should fix this as soon as possible before other players start to abandon the game. I love the game and I hate to see it to fail just because of poor management. I’ve whaled my way out of the current problem but that doesn’t mean I’d stop caring about other players who are stuck in the same item level for days/weeks, i just hope this will be fix soon!

why would they listen to a dude who collects moko seeds all day and begs for resources

hes right tho, if they dont listen to him, its only a matter of time before other players starts dropping the game.

I wish your title was not so negative so that devs would actually check out the thread

Not at all thats called clickbait if u new in the internet XD

gross take, people you don’t like can have valid points

I just quit the game with all intentions of being completely done with it, after seeing that they deployed a hotfix with no substantive communication about a roadmap or honing adjustments. I came to the forums because I am still huffing that hopium, so I thought maybe I could find a dev or CM comment with some substance, but instead found this video. You really do have until the weekly reset. If you would take responsibility for the situation and talk to us by then, or release a patch addressing the issues I will consider coming back. Otherwise I’m out for good and never looking back.

The first 400 hours of my gameplay was some of the best experiences I ever had in a game. Really devs, thank you so much whoever made this content, and I assume the lategame content released in other regions is just as phenomenal.

My last 50 hours of gameplay, since the Argus patch notes dropped, was horrible. I feel completely beaten down, abused and demoralized. I am done with it. Whoever is managing and monetizing that content, I really don’t like you at all. You are the reason that I can’t just play the game and enjoy the content. I feel punished because I took my first 100 hours of gameplay at my own pace, and even though I have been past 1340 for 3 weeks I was not able to take enough advantage of ways to earn currency in the game by the time I got serious. Not enough to feasibly bridge my way to 1370 and do Argus this week, perhaps not even in a month depending on luck.

More and more there is 3 types of players among my friends that have engaged with the game.

1- Those pre 1340 who are still in the honeymoon phase.

2- Newbies like me who asphyxiated in the 1340-1370 dead zone and quit the game or are well into that process.

3- No lifer who pre researched the game and plays at min maxxed efficiency 12+ hours a day/whales, who made the Argus weekly reset and are jetting off to the moon with the new honing rates on their legendary gear

As soon as you move into the 1340 dead zone phase of the game you are parsed into a have or a have not. With the weekly reset of Argus that process will be complete, with all the players who made the first week reaping massive rewards, pushing 1385+ ilvl, the rich will get richer creating a wealth and power disparity in the game that will echo far beyond the times that everyone has caught up to Argos. As Asmon points out, this does affect other players via party finder and market interaction, but for me it is also just not what I signed up for.

I was told Lost Ark was the game where you didn’t have to whale to get your foot in the door for normal mode on new releases as long as you played the game diligently a few hours a day. I put in far more time and effort towards vertical progression than that, and I am nowhere close without unrealistic levels of luck. I am done honing in the dead zone, and also playing the game for now because of that. I will only fall further behind.

It feels intentional, and for the time being I have to assume it is. If Valtan is coming in just over 3 weeks, those of us who have not hit Argus next week will have no shot at getting the ilvl for Valtan because of the time gated nature of gear acquisition (even including the gear from hard mode dungeons). I hope this is addressed by Wednesday with a patch or substantial communication.

For now I’m out, I really hope you take action, even if that action is telling us that the state of the game is 100% working as intended and there are no plans to adjust honing or add more material acquisition methods until the monthly patch.

I was not a skilled enough gamer to overcome the deadzone and I’m 100% okay with that. Peace.

ima come clean. i am literally throwing 12+ hours a day at the game. using every piece of gold i can get to hone my gear. trying to use 6 other characters every day for gold… and im only 1362. and for the past few days i have almost failed every honing attempt. im literally throwing everything i have to try to get to Argos before the next few weeks and the game keeps wanting more & more. if im counted as a hardcore player i couldn’t imagine a casual. im completely f2p. tho if i spent money i would prob be doing argos… just think $100-$200 could push me that little bit further… its like its begging me to swipe or suffer for a week or 2 more. so then i can prepare to suffer again for the next content patch

For all those hating just because it’s Asmongold… You can dislike somebody and their opinion on something remain relevant.

Try looking at the topic objectively instead of dismissing simply because of who it is that said it.
He makes very valid points in the video that many other players agree with and have been saying for awhile on the forums here.

It’s just clickbaiting, though. “You won’t believe what (streamer) said!” and a video link with no text.

I agree with everything Asmon is saying and i really appreciate him for helping out the community, but that is not the only problem for me, while honing is a real pain in the ass just checking out all the variety of skins and classes on Korean server and looking what we got, and how slow they are releasing this stuff is really demotivating.
I really hope they get their shit together and bounce back.
A bad first impression on a game is enough for a lot of players to quit and never look back.

“Own opinion” yeh one of the few that are just sheeple to the other side of the hive mind. Alright buddy

Not saying asmongold doesn’t have valid points…the title is passive aggressive which is cringe.

Imagine trying to play with your friends and he gets lucky and you dont

i want to believe that Amazon Games is simply malicious for making our lifes so much harder in game not releasing all the content properly but then i see the patch notes at where the bots are practically being allowed to farm and sell epic engraving books.

When your choices help the bots to get rich then i can only believe that you are completely lost and clueless.

Lost Ark is a fun and beautiful game but we just got unlucky for obvious reasons.

my mistake, valid point

I started this game with probably 15 friends. I can count the content ran with them after 50 on two hands. Everyone is all over the place lol. Just end up running MM and having a pretty bad time.

Really wish they would have scaled some/most of the content so that friends who are ahead of others can go back and do content with their lower ilvl friends without 1 shotting the boss. We want to play together but still want challenged.

If i get a new player/friend into the game, cool, but we are probably never going to get to do any content together - so what is the point lol (Aside from having Alts parked every 40 ilvls…

You form your own opinion but don’t care to hear others? Hope that works well for you. The safety bubble is strong with this one.

Agree. SG missed big oportunity in their tier system, by doing so you can just face roll lower tiers with ur main, without any reason to do anyway… besides some rng card packs or boosting. Right now one of biggest complaint is that lower tiers feels like something that are useless endgame, so peoples want to rush from it as fast as possible. They could fix that issue by making every tier important at endgame, so there would be a valid reason to have alts on certain ilvls range. That way every tier would be at its own endgame.

  • Unique materials, cosmetics etc. for certain tiers
  • Ilvl locked tiers (t1 content would be gated for 302-600 players only etc.)
  • Since our tiers are now on its own “endgame”, progression at its certain tiers should be also harder. But not in terms of ilvl. It should be a lot harder to get legendary+ eq etc.
  • Besides that it should be somehow connected to highter tiers, lets say by farming t2 mats at t1 content etc. (example)
