Answer Regarding Guardian Raid and Abyss Dungeon Difficulty

So, you want to say that because i know the mechanics, others cant learn them? Its like limited knowledge, only set amount of players can know? How illogical this sounds. And btw, i still had to learn it somehow too, I wasn’t born with knowledge how to kill guards. And just so you know, when i got to tytalos, i completely forgot what his mechanics were, and guess what, i went maxroll and learnt how to do tytalos mechanics again

Thanks @Roxx, nerfing was a good decision. Those contents was very time consuming for lone players and alt character’s development.

But since the game we have right now, has exact same boss configs like other regions do (except for catch-up mokoko buff), that means that our casuals are worse than ru,jp,kr? They didn’t got any nerfs and had same bosses

This is a MMO, it is time consuming… I have after only two weeks people with main at 1330 with 5 ALTs, all 50, and with il above 440 for the lowest… If dedicated players already cleared most of the available content, the difficulty is fine.

The Guardians have more hp in T1 & 2 than they do anywhere else, thats why they’re sponges and take forever, which is a change I think we can all agree, could do with reverting back in line.

I’d say it’s more because the KR/RUS/CHN playerbase typically had more people that played on KR and thus already have experience in Abyss Dungeons, we have a lot of players that are playing the game for the first time and are not used to that difficulty spike.

I personally think Abyss Dungeons are fine as they are, but wouldn’t be against a few QoL changes in the T1 ones to get people used to the idea that these raids aren’t playing around.

Tooltip here, visual tell clarification there, don’t change anything else and it’ll be perfectly fine.

I did mathematical test, and our tytalos has same hp as ru one. And i even did video the whole thing, no cuts @AGS Please, revert the Guardian raids 50% more hp change! Reason inside! - #281 by Miriey

@Roxx Quite a lot of players aren’t even able to enter any of this content because of the dungeon servers being completely overloaded. So, why is content being nerved a lot of players don’t even had a chance to experience.

IMHO you should focus on getting EVERYONE to play the game properly before using incomplete data to justify nerfs.

This change is so bad, nerfring easy content already. It just make me stop playing and not spending any more money with the game.

It’s solo…so base HP…and you can carry your weight.
Do you know what’ss the multiplier in our version for 4 ppl?
Thats the issue that some players just can’t carry their weights.
No potions, no flares, no mechanics.
As much as I would like to make my runs shorter(with HP change.)I have to agree that we just have to stop boosting/carrying players that don’t use consumables in raids/dungs.

While looking at those numbers did you consider the EUC player base? Of course the success rate is low if you can’t do the raids with a premade group that is willing to learn the fight. You have to rely on matchmaking and get someone who doesn’t know the mechanics almost every try. Every try you have you basically start at 0.

Also considering that most of my playtime I sit in the queue I didn’t get to experience some of these raids and dungeons. I feel gutted that I can not experience them how they are supposed to be.

The more I think about it how many even had to chance to try it? Can’t imagine that most of the player who left EUC for EUW already got to Ilvl 1080. But I don’t have the numbers I guess.

I would just love to see an option to experience unnerfed content as well.

Imho this is more of a lazyness problem and not a difficulty problem that needs a nerf. Obviously people will wipe at Bern abyss if they don’t know what the mark ontop of their heads do and they vote surrender after a failed attempt because the boss didn’t die on the first try.
Of course people wipe at Rohendel abyss if most people don’t even know what Stagger means.
Speaking about guardians, in my opinion they do a bit too much damage if you go with the exact item level you are requried to enter, however, we get back to the same problem here, people lazyness to understand the encounters before they face them. Ive seen people at T3 armored nacrasena that didn’t even know that you could break their armor with destruction spell/nades.
Encourage people to learn instead of nerfing content for everyone.

Also 10% succes rate literally means nothing if it counts people giving up on the first attempt or leaving because of disconnects. Doing endgame content as a new player shouldn’t take you one attempt, that makes the game look boring. The first dungeons are currently the enlightenment point that makes people invested in properly gearing up their character and starting to learn the game.

Don’t nerf content … noob and weak players that can’t handle it will leave and therefore the queues will be lower. You will solve 2 problems with no solutions.

Then give these people who are unwilling to learn and easy mode, bosses only give half loot, and no wipe mech. Don’t ruin this game amazon. The whole point of these raids and dungeons is to get people formular with the mech for when the legion raids comes out(which btw, is much harder). So because 90% of the player base can’t learn to use battle potions, get more than 1 engraving, use chat and coms, let’s just make this game baby mode and give everyone a trophy. If anything. leave it how it is for another month. You own a streaming platform. use it. get streamers to talk about this and how to play. I knew all these people rushing to 50 was going to come back to bit them in the butt. promote more how to videos on youtube, social media.

You should’ve done a better job teaching players how to beat those challenges instead of nerfing them.

How about instead of nerfing content as a knee jerk reaction you just include learning materials and links in game for people to use?

I see a lot of people in the unofficial Discord server every day asking about guides and what not… Just include the resources in the game somewhere instead?

Why should it be a problem for everyone because people refuse to learn? If they refuse to learn, not everyone should be punished for it? I am pretty sure that 3 weeks in on any other region the success rate for content was also bad.

People don’t learn mechanics nor practice… Let people actually learn rather than making it easier for them… It’s the silly mentality that when people fail you should make the test easier. No! If people fail at math you give them personal tutors and what not. Provide them with learning and practice material.

Seriously if this trend continues with the rest of the game - The vast majority will stop playing. And if they do not, welp good luck with your cake I guess

The only suggestion I could see would be to create “Hard mode” on every dungeons which retain current difficulty and set the normal lower. Lower the rewards as well and/or require completion of both mode to access the next one, a bit like on completion maps where you should get both mode done before being finished.

When I heard about this announcement at work I was so extremely disappointed that I was set on making a thread for the first time when I got home, but after taking a quick glance at the forums, I see that isn’t necessary since everyone is already talking about it.

It’s actually so disappointing to hear that the mental fortitude of players in my region is so weak that it results in a boss and raid nerf not even 3 weeks into release. This is the first MMO that I have played where the PvE content and gameplay interests me, rather than me thinking that it’s just beating up on mindless ai. Usually, I only stick to the PvP side of things in games because of that reason, so unlucky for me I guess.

All I can hope for is that the future synced versions of these guardians and abyss dungeons are returned to their rightfully difficult state and that tier 3 and beyond content isn’t touched, especially the legion commander raids. I would much rather see the community learn the game and get better over time, but hey I guess wanting to beat difficult content is a rare mindset in this region of the world. Considering that I’ve seen grudge bards in my matchmade guardian raids just tells me that people need to understand the game more. Anyway, I’m rambling now, hope this is the only time something like this happens AGS.

Guy i am referring to in my link did calculations for our 4man scaling. I dont have 3 ppl on ru to conduct same test, but i doubt it will be different

It’s not what I look forward to and I’m a people
