I currently have 35% base crit rate for my build and with 5-set Argos it averages to around 55% crit rate. However when I transition to Nightmare set I lose out on the average 20% crit rate from Argos and base crit is 35%. I only have the 35% due to using a Crit accessory and Lostwind. So if I transition to a Spec accessory and take out Lostwind I’ll probably be only left with 13-15% crit rate. I understand Adrenaline 2 can take it up to 23-25% crit rate, but that is still very low. Is there a solution to this? Or do Blue Gunlancers just sit on low crit rate in general in end game Nightmare set?
Spec builds, like Blue GL, generally have very low crit rate. You don’t need the high number of crits because spec is pushing up the base damage of skills so high. Then of course the nightmare set further pushes this base damage up.
I haven’t play Blue, but from the info I see, it’s main source of damage is from Spec, Crit feels like something like icing on the cake.
If you able to stack it higher? great.
If you can’t? It’s a whatever.
remember you should be running with crit totem (gunslinger and few of fighter classes)
i assume you are running necklace with crit/spec not swift/spec
Blue Gunlancer is not know for high DPS, the beauty of Blue GL is the uptime and how easy the spammy playstyle is. You wont be topping any DPS chart in trixion vs Red GL.
I don’t think your accessories are right if your base crit is already 35%.
Your only source of crit stats aside from engraving and cards should be from your nech and that is like 15% iirc? All your accessories should be high quality spec ones.
You should have adrenaline 2 for 10% crit, 15% from 2 sets argos (for now) which is 40% and if you have lost wind cliff then it will be close to 50% crit total.
Your eventual crit rate will be around 33% after argos is changed to full nightmare set.
There are variations of Blue Gunlancer past Vykas.
Keep in mind you will lose your Lost Wind Crit also eventually.
Either you get Crit/Spec Neck and keep flat 15-16% Crit pick up Adrenaline x1 + SA x3 or you go Swift/Spec Neck and pick up Adrenaline x3 + x1 something… I’ve seen people also go Crit/Swift Neck. Either way from my understanding you can try to stay Turtle mode and get the better part of DPS but the later legion fights you’re really going to want that movement speed.
