Mm lets see⌠I have 18 toons across 2 rosters and I only run 6 toons a day full rested⌠Can I choose not to do 36 chaos and 36 guardians a day? Yes⌠I do only 12 and 12⌠Do I want it to be reduced to 6 and 6 with double rewards? Hell Yeah
. In the near future you will have way more stuff to do and if you are inteligent you dont want to spend more than your set time a day⌠In that set time you need to reach your goalsâŚ
No, but seriously, it must not happen. It would be unfair to people who only have 6 characters. This way youâre forcing them to make more to be competitive, which includes either creating another roster or paying for character slot extension.
You are forcing them to do it, because suddenly playing only 6 characters isnât enough to keep up. This isnât usually a problem - you donât have time or money? you canât keep up - but in this scenario it is, because that person used to be able to keep up - now they wonât.
And about more content being released, which competes with time, I guess this just makes the game more interesting. Instead of blindly clearing all the content you can manage in a week/day like we do now, weâre going to have to prioritize and plan accordingly.
There are phases in my progression where I do chaos and guardiands daily, for example when Iâm about to make a big push, and there are periods when I donât care if I miss them on full rested, cuz I have other things to do.
Itâs all a part of being efficient, thus all a part of what makes this game so attractive to most of us.
If we could all manage to min-max everything, it wouldnât be much of a competition, and without the competition, no motive to swipe. But LA is a great example that a game doesnât have to be pvp to be competitive; it can be be a competitive PvE.
Just like a car race doesnât have to be car vs car, it can be a rally xD
It seems like you think this game is a job. See, i play games for fun and dont make my life revolve around it. Now i understand why you act like you dont have a choice, sad
No, this isnât a FOMO problem. People being forced to make mroe characters to maintain status quo is not FOMO. Itâs not fear of missing out, itâs fear of getting left behind. Itâs not a matter of perfectionism, itâs a matter of whole different psychological set of motives. Itâs testosterone, not cortisol.
unfair how? if you do now 12 guardians and 12 chaos to get 2k stones and 50 leaps (for exmaple), how making it just 6 and 6 for the exact same rewards make it any unfair for anyone? IF anything more relaxing and manageable gaming life in lost arkâŚ
could use the extra time to do more horizontal and stuff that i completly skip beucase im not gonna spend a single more minute of what I alredy do
You have more time to catch-up where others are better because they chose to run only 6 toons.
Now, to remain that advantage in horizontal or other content, or to keep up with natural progression of others, they need to step up their vertical game - to double it!
Besides, horizontal is a bad example, cuz after x period of time itâs going to be done once and for all, which again frees up more time for you - to put in vertical progression and probably make more toons xDD
dude im gonna do my 12 and 12 or my 6 and 6 regardless, by doing 12 and 12 i wont do any other activity, by doin 6 and 6 i could do other activitiesâŚ
If oyu have 3 toons and you do 6 and 6 and you dont do any other activityh you wont do any other activity if you have to do 3 and 3, you will get the exact same mats./. so theres is no excuse
Bro, people toss this phrase around a lot, but I donât use it that easily - mental gymnastics.
Youâre now doing mental gymnastics and itâ not gonna fly.
No matter how you spin it, people who have more than 6 toons would profit monstrously over those who do not because they donât like playing all that many characters or dungeons.
Besides, chaos and guardiands have different purposes besides just givnig us materials. They also serve to maintain routine, consistency and feeling of reward not sufficiently explained just by those materials (which, the more we get, the lesser the feeling of reward they bring).
Either way, no. Itâs not fair. You might see it but choose to ignore, or you might not care. But itâs not fair and I like it the way it is, and Iâm thankful that SG is on my side.
Keep grinding 36 characters until you burn-out for all I care. Iâve been through burn-out and Iâm back now - much wiser and more experienced.
No, Iâm just doing what youâre doing - fighting for what I want.
Also, balancing the discussion a little bit with counterarguments. I didnât like the way it was going and I felt like readers didnât have a fufll picture of the issue.
Less time spent on chaos for equal rewards = more incentive to play more characters = forcing people to do just that to remain status quo. Not even to compete - to remain status quo.
Now that I think about it, it might also be FOMO at work xD
But so is this idea for 1 chaos and 1 guardians. Itâs also driven by FOMO. But it also means youâre already burning-out. Youâre already feeling like you canât keep up this way for much longer xD Thatâs why youâre fighting for this.
