Any T3 Soulfist Energy Overflow mains?

I have some questions because I am considering raising my Soulfist from T2 to T3.

Do you do decent decent damage now after class balance update? Is it average or still on low end?

Do you feel useful in raids and/or bring something helpful most classes don’t?

Do you fair well in stagger checks?

How is your survivability?

How do you compare to Control Glaiviers specifically?

Thanks for any answers you might have!

hi, 1445 EO soulfist here, i felt the damage upgrade for my class, i would say that its on a very good place in terms of dps but you gotta invest in the class, lvl 7+ gems, at least lvl 3 tripods
i am always on the mvp chart for damage + stagger dealt, last week i got mvp for damage and stagger on valtan hard in a party without support, i love this class and its on a good spot but you gotta practice your rotation and master your playstyle, now with the relic set my dps is starting to blow up and the playstyle has improved a lot

Soulfist is probably the tankiest and most elusive martial artist class due to Energy Release giving damage reduction and Flash Step being useable 3 times.
My 1400 EO Soulfist alt gets upright fighter consistently in Yoho so I think dps is quite good.

1435 eo here with budget engravings and I love it.
(5x3 Adr, precise dag, raid cap, ambush mas, eo)
1500ish swift, 500ish crit.

With my build (preordained X4), I’m constantly at 68% Crit rate. So, I see yellow all the time

Raid usefulness:
Yeah sure, my budget engravings don’t give me main mvp most of the time (usually a side one) but I’m nible AF, useful for counters, keep my 6% party buff throughout the fight and give 25% damage réduction to the group every 30 seconds or cleanse people’s debuff (valtan)

I don’t die from damages, but failing from mechanics…

Trixon test:
1.Hit around 1m DPS without awakening within 40 seconds of hype.

Stagger:
1.No problem. Shadow breaker boosted with 30% stagger rune does well.
2. When my raid group looks like it has no stagger, i use my Annihilating Ray since it’s a high stagger awakening with very low casting delay

Other notes:
I’m fast and mobile AF. Never had to use any speed enhancement to dodge Albion.

Here’s a couple mvp screenshot against other 1430+ today while using budget engravings (cube and boss rush- not so sure why the other players dont show on mvp)

i have mvp’d valtan every time except this one time the artillerist and gunlancer kept hitting into the counter and super armoring the knockback.

i’m 1472.5 and all i can say is more cdr = more fun, with optimize build it fairly easy to get MVP specially with those boss that move a lot

Well because I didn’t answer any questions before:

Do you do decent decent damage now after class balance update? Is it average or still on low end?

yes. i would say in a group of min max gamers, the damage is on the good side.

Do you feel useful in raids and/or bring something helpful most classes don’t?

party wide damage reduction and damage buff, cleanses

Do you fair well in stagger checks?

energy blast, shadowbreaker, and bolting crash have good stagger

How is your survivability?

very good with high mobility and constant damage reduction.

How do you compare to Control Glaiviers specifically?

better since you don’t run out of resources. my control glaive struggles with energy if there’s no downtime in attacking. also soulfist is not reliant on back attacks for most of your skills whereas glaive absolutely needs to hit the back on everything.

im too lazy to read this but I have 1370 soulfist with 3331 and I’d say i get mvp in 80% of guardian raids and honestly thinking about switching mains

Thanks! Both your answers (and others) were great. However, I definitely appreciated the additional details!
