Any tips for new players (Pheons)?

tbh just save your mats if you hit 1370 and sell those to get pheons just enough to get 4x3 and then after that you start saving again to enhance the gear till 1414 and once you hit 1414 save mats again for pheons to prepare for relic access

Swipe. That’s what AGS wants you to do.

Your only options are to sell everything and just use bound mats, but even then you are gonna be hard pressed to actually achieve a reasonable speed of upgrade, I knew a guy that tried to come back it took him 3 weeks with us feeding him for him to even have a chance of getting to the “good content” and even then he admitted the progress was so abysmal and unfun he ended up just RMTing 30k so he could even get to 1415 to play the “end game” and he still ended up quitting due the the entire experience just being a sour point for him.

The new player experience is abhorrent and frankly new players need to be given a flat fast track to 1415 minimum. Anything less and you’re basically stuck just doing busses and maybe just maybe if you are lucky you can find a p1 to do at level or an Oreha that isn’t a “free bus no bid”

Yea… most of my friends I started playing with has long quit too.

The honing experiences, AH requiring a significant amount of pheons to purchase gear, community less willing to help learners, I can go on…

I enjoy this game still, but many things have to change.

I also have no idea how I will get enough pheons to buy the relic gear I need once I hit 1445.

game should start you with enough pheons for 1 character at least i think?

Honestly? If you genuinely want likely the best method to get going and you have some form of roster already. You’re gonna want a spreadsheet. Take inventory of your gold, figure out the average cost to your next target ilvl and then move forward. focus on one singular upgrade path per week (Gems, books, accessories, ilvl) and just do that one thing that week then move onto the next one.

You HAVE to treat it as a marathon if you try to sprint you’ll end up overwhelmed, poor and likely no better off as you’ve now stretched yourself so thin over 4 different paths that the progress you’ve made is so minor in each direction its almost negligible. You cant work on gems, books, tripods (if buying) and ilvl all at the same time. Even with a stacked roster the economy doesn’t allow for it. You have more wiggle room sure but if you don’t focus in you’ll very quickly find yourself overwhelmed, out of gold sources for the week and poor on the side of the Arkesian roadway, and its only Friday.

If you cant teach them patience, they’d eventually quit either way (will be FOMO’d , since this game’s community good at instilling FOMO).

They can spend time making, building alts that slowly ramps gold over time. also, t1-t2 is already 100% honing chance. it’s basically a free T3 - only time-gated on shards and leapstones.

don’t worry about the future too much, focus on understanding progression routes (can vary from player to player, can ask how they build their roster and enjoy the game in general, while also ramping up gold without succumbing to R.m.T).

Like all them vets tell us, it’s a marathon. In a marathon, we dont worry if we gonna loose the run, we worry about our own body functions and endurance- first and foremost.

Synthetic/crafted-inflation already ingrained too deep.

100%, I’m just enjoying the game right now. If I had that “catch up” or “keep up” mindset, I’d of quit a long time ago as so many of my friends/guildmates have.

I’m a F2P player have been playing since launch but of course, don’t have as much time to game as I used to… but at least eventually, I should catch up as content releases holds up the lead pack (theoretically).

I only have alts only because of the powerpasses and express events to be frank. My main is 1435, and I have three 1385’s. But most people who started in the beginning like me have like multiple 1400’s probably Lol

  1. they are not “new” players seen numbers lately we bleeding
  2. what itlvl are you quit recruiting alts wanna be an alt guild?
  3. if not capping and “new” game is a KR MMO

What that means is unless and event occurs you don’t hone alts pass the itlvl. Right now its stupidly 1370  So what that means most will be parked at 1370. For actual newcomers, with the events calendar it should take 2-3 weeks to get pheons as F2P for 3x3, but you must be confused. 3x3 get rejected its 4x3 now. That means looking at 1 month least for a brand new character.

The quickest way to get gold is to buy the Argos buss or Guild carry Argos runs/Oreha HM carries, Unas

save them till you have relic gear dont spend work your gear up depends on drops take your time on it …

yes its stupid and annoying, but they want new players to grind for it. Keep in mind the grinding doesnt stop. Runes/Rapports/Skillpoint are important and a pain to do. Some rapports take 40 days to do if no gifts used.

This an MMO

You basically need ~15-35 Pheon imo, which can be obtained from the Events. Should be relatively cheap.

RNG aside, they can cut a Legendary Stone with desired Engraves, let’s use Sorc for an example. Let’s say they’re just gonna go Instant Reflux with Final Strike Pods.

Then they cut a Precise Dagger/Hit Master Stone.

If they get a 6/6, boom, two +9 Engravings, Oreha/Argos Jewelry, done. (Stone Cost Pheon + 0 additional Pheon)

To account for stone cutting variance, if they cut a 6/5 and they’re missing a Diamond Node, then buy the cheapest Accessory that covers it, for now Legendary Accessories are very cheap. (Stone Cost Pheon + 15 additional Pheon)

Anything worse than a 5/5 Rock they should be rolling again imo.

at 1370 they can do both oreha hard. with enough savings they can bus argos p3 and get more golds

On 3x3 you don’t waste pheons on just a very few. You roll stones until you get a 6/6 use two purple books for 9/9 nodes and use bussed/oreha hm accessories with correct stats to get the 15 nodes on your class engraving.

New players are at a tough spot atm. Best way to get enough gold to progress past 1370 pheon gate is to make as many 1370s as you can and do hard orehas and get p3 argos bus on them. Either that or use a credit card since the gold prices are pretty good right now and there’s a punika pack that gets really good blue crystal to RC exchange rate.

There’s also an issue if Amazon gives Pheons for free like they did earlier this month with fever time.

Bot Firms are offering to purchase 1415 Relic equipment from you and they’re willing to cover the pheon cost on top and AGS would greatly help them if offered 15-20/how many pheons they’re handing out to their thousands of accounts.

I cannot come with an actual solution to the problem myself outside of straight up removing pheons which is their BIGGEST source of income.

I suggest you focus on collecting cards (visa)

Best way is to progress making friends with similar ilvl. Start making statics to do dailies with.

So much elitism in this game it is insane. Literally, some of these guys whale and have nothing better to do than criticize others that play how this game was intended. Never seen a 4/3 requirement before for Yoho… but yeah apparently some people do.

Some of these guys probably won’t be able to do the same ilvl content.

Also save your pheons until you transition to relics.

Almost impossible to save pheons because to do any type of T3 content, they (the “experienced veterans” blah blah) expect you to have a minimum 3x3 or else gatekeepers.

Also alts, alts need 3x3 too lmao. So… sort of SOL.
