Wait is the HUD size default really 80% or 90%? I thought it was 100% because I’ve actually had to opposite issue of considering making my HUD smaller for more screen space lol
I want to make NAMEPLATES bigger!
+1 to this, I have the exact same blurry text (even at max UI scaling) on 1080p, actually cannot play the game because eye strain and headache…
I think serif font makes it worse too
+1 I have the same problem. Is it possible to add the +120% option or the option to increase the size text in the item descriptions.
Currently, the game is practically unplayable for me
I did pick 110% increase in video settings and it is still too small to be able to read on a 3440 x 1440 pixel display.
Could devs in this game add better option to increase or decrease size of only fonts UI for in game elements without blowing up the size of icons or other elements?
That would be much appriciated, thank you! ![]()
Same problem @LightBringer
I have changed the HUD size to 110% but far away from my expectation, it is still small and difficult to read on my laptop. Just wanna have a setting to adjust the font size or expand the HUD option.
hud size doesnt fix the text on the quest list to the right of the screen would be nice to increase the size of it
Agree, but I would also like to see character name tag better as it is really small on my screen. Hard to see who is who when random player are rushing by and which name NPC have (their tags).
Try to catch a player with cursor and then Control to see any information or whisper them and you will understand how hard it is to use super small name tag on players that you might want to group up with or just make a short small talk with.
The text size is the most important part because the way it is right now the game is unfortunately unplayable. I realize that this may not be an issue for many players but not everyone’s got phantom vision and sits 20 cm away from the screen. The +10% increased HUD size option really does nothing to alleviate that.
Seems like such a missed opportunity from the developer’s side not to address such an important issue (many are reporting the same problem, remember - and who knows how many aren’t even bothering reporting it and just moves on instead).
I’d liken it to spending a whole lot of effort developing a car, only to deliver it with seats that aren’t adjustable, alienting a large portion of a potential customer base, basically sabotaging themselves in the process.
Well, I guess there’ll be no Lost Ark for me then.
Fortunately D2R has a new patch incoming …
I tried to play on my TV using a controller, but it’s hard to read since I’m far from tv in comparison when I’m playing in front of my monitor
Are there any temporary fix? I can literally feel my eyes strain and burn. Every sec I’m destroying my eyes. Why do the game have. Strange white or glare or blurry filter thingie? I can feel the strin just by looking at the screen. Reading text makes it worst. Hud 110%, turning brightness to 30% turning on photographic. Nothing helps
my eyes hurt with so tinny letters ![]()
There’s clearly no answer to this problem right now, and even a 120% mode wouldn’t solve it. You really need to hire an experienced UI designer and rethink things. Look at the difference between the quest objective log vs another game. There’s so much dead space, awful contrast and a tiny, thin lettered font.
This is a same-size comparison of the default of another popular mmo’s quest tracker vs lost ark at 110% (current max).
Just wanted to add on a request for the fonts size and type. It’s really hurting my eyes to have to physically move my face less than a foot away from my monitor squinting to read this stuff. This isn’t the chat window or the Hud… it’s literally every other piece of text in the game (name tags, npc dialogs, tutorials, item description, menus, literally everything.). It’s so bad that I think it’s not even a accessibility issue, it’s just really terrible on general design principle lmao.
+1 for this issue. Had a big headache yesterday because it takes to much to focus on the small font… ![]()
Yea this game is the only game in 20 years of gaming tat i have a issue with. Soooo yeap its not me getting old i can safely say rofl!! For start i have turn down brightness to 30% in game and i turn on the windows blue light filter at 50% strength. Just so i dun burn my eyes with all the whiteness even if i do put my face up to the screen. There is way too much white in general. Thou it could be just my screen. But anyone else who might have the issue like me. Try what i did and play around with the ingame brightness and windows blue like filter strength until you find a comfortable settings that helps your eyes feel better
Same problem here, this is just basic accessibility and should not be a problem for a game released so recently. Can’t play until this is addressed.
Would definitely be great to be able to increase font size in places other than chat. The UI increase doesn’t really seem to do much.
