Anyone else DC'ing outside LostArk? Read This!

This all started after the update that caused everyone to DC randomly ingame. At first I thought it was just ingame dcing. Then i realized I was the only one in my groups that would also DC off Discord for a split second and then reconnect. Everyone thought it was strange, and maybe just my internet. This only started though with the dc’s everyone else had also. A Few weeks ago i decided to stop playing LostArk temporarily because the DC’s were just too annoying. Afterwards i discovered I was still randomly dcing every now and then. Then i started thinking it was a “Me” issue. For 2 weeks i did all the troubleshooting.

  • Resetting Network
    -Reinstalling drivers
  • Turning off Bluetooth
  • Adjusting Antennae on Wifi
  • Updating Windows/Drivers
  • Not opening LostArk
  • Verifying Lostark’s files
  • Uninstalling EAC from Lostark files

And so much more, and none of it worked i would still DC every now and then JUST LIKE ON LOST ARK. Then my final straw… just uninstall lost ark, it has to be the issue, it only started after lost arks update a month ago where the DC’s ramped. Going on 24h and I have not had a Single DC from my internet since uninstalling lost ark. Usually i would dc from my internet up to 10 times a day for a few secs, then reconnect… Somehow lost ark was so ingrained on my system that even with it simply installed and never opened for the day, it would dc my internet as if i were playing.

I write this to help out anyone that may have my issue as i know its very uncommon, and maybe this info will somehow be of use to AGS. If u are having random disconnects outside of LostArk, i would recommend uninstalling it. I personally plan to reinstall it on Brel release, hopefully it fixes the issue, but idk if it will…

I’m not super tech savvy, but i wonder if its a registry issue. its the only thing i can think off thats still on the PC just by having the game installed. If Roxx finds this, maybe it can be useful to fixing the issue.

I dont think so havent meet a game/software that would change registry for network not mentioning changing it back at uninstall
It would be some super strange behavior oO
I would call coincide in here but who knows if game making company with access to logs cant bite it

i didnt experience anything so drastic ngl
i sometimes dc from discord for a split sec like u mentioned, rarely, but i had that way before the mass dc issue, so im p sure its just some discord bug,maybe coz im on win7, other than that nothing happens

it would be interesting to see if what you described was rly a possibility

it wasn’t just discord, discord is just what was noticeable because when u dc from VC it makes a sound, so whenever i heard it i knew i dc’ed… usually i would refresh youtube and it say to check my internet, and then discord would DC. So it was my internet that cuts out for a split second and then reconnects.

Definetly uncommon case, none of my guildies or raid groups would have their internet DC as well.
(also idk how to quote in the forums)

oh for me its only discord that dcs,everything else keeps going, i guess it might rly be just a bug then for me

just highlight the text and the quote marker will appear
