Best part of our current version is it’s even more inferior to the infamous “dead zone” that KR had thanks to the lack of additional materials to gain, with a far quicker release of content planned for our region. Definitely going to retain Western players, where Korean player numbers dwindled in a better version of this. Sarcasm intended

I may leave if they don’t plan on releasing classes “soonish”. It really all depends on what the roadmap says when it comes out.

I will be happy if they just fix the wasteland that is 1340-1370. I hit just under 1360 but going to full pity on every single piece and all material sources exhausted other than the auction house is ridiculous. I even have an alt in T3 feeding my main mats and I still do not see me hitting 1370 for at least a few weeks. I just wanna raid now, I know content is not going anywhere but I think if you put close to 500 hours into a game that has been out a month, even if you have not spent money (which I have). You should be able to access the cutting edge content if that is what you put those hours of focus into.
I work on all the collection systems and completions and islands but just having 1-3 chances a day to increase my gear when I know it will take the full pity every time is not fun for me because I know I am not able to play a raid that is out now. I am a long time MMO veteran and I have never been gated out of the latest group content in any of the dozens of games I have played because that is what I actively work towards from the day I start. This game basically saying break out the credit card more because your hours of playing mean nothing if you want to do our content when it is released has turned this lost ark fanboy into someone who would not recommend the game to anyone in its current state. I really thought AGS could not mess this up and I thought smilegate would not let them. Seems I was wrong on both counts.
Oh and i am not even from EU and have never had a que but what they are doing to players that moved by not giving them things they paid for on the server they begged them to move to is shady at best and shows the true nature of the business practices of this game now and going forward.
Sorry to tell you this, but this is a “you” issue. Nothing to do with the game.
Streamers and youtubers might feel the need to progress as fast as possible to stay relevant, you don’t.
If you forget about that issue you’re left with a simple question: Am I having fun with the game?
If the answer is yes, then just play it.
If the answer is no, find something else to play that is fun for you.
Bonus points if you stop giving a crap about what Streamer/Youtuber X say or do.

Releasing content that most ppl cannot reach is one thing, but I really dislike the heavy gambling like honing rates in T3. At these rates, I’d rather prefer a long grind for everyone over some ppl getting lucky in honing and others being stuck for weeks/months.
That’s why I stopped honing on my main and waiting for their, hopefully soon, response regarding honing. Currently I’m raising alts one after another to speed up material gathering, but if nothing changes in the next few weeks, I’m gone for good

It’s streamers and youtubers that have swiped for thousands that are making the ftp players fomo for the new content, content creators have played a huge part in the drama over Argos.
I never said we need both read what people write properly.
I’m a ftp player. I feel no fomo.
I litterally couldn’t care less about streamers and content creators.
And, I couldn’t care less if somebody swiped and is farming Argos as I’m typing this.
When they’ll both get together, start paying my bills and take my shifts at work while I sit at home having fun I’ll start caring about them.
The idea that somebody who play games all day as a job should influence the way I de-stress in my own hard earned free time is absurd.

absolutely agree with u. i installed this game with a blindfold like many other mmos, diving into the unknown is part of the fun whenever there’s new releases in the west.
then u see things unfold for the worse, testimonies from players in other regions that suddenly turns ur stomach upside down. data & screenshots which proved many changes were made to milk the masses.
then AGS pretends to care for our opinions about the very specific thing they modified, to get to our wallets. it’s like someone putting poison in our drinks, serves it, then asks how we like it. the nerve really.
wallet is now closed, eyeing their updates & decisions like a hawk. still playing alts but halfway out the door, soon to never touch anything they have their name on.

Streamers and " content" creators , are biggest flop gaming had created.

They already changed it, did you miss the patch with guardian changes? By all accounts the Argos patch is straight up missing catch-up content, which would be another change don’t you think? They can and have changed the game. Maybe that missing content provides enough materials to make the gut punch of honing failures not feel so bad, I kind of doubt it but I’d at least try it out. I’m not ultra hardcore, but I’m above average and if I’m thinking of quitting you better believe the average players and casuals will quit en masse when they start hitting honing walls that will take a month of playing the same content several hours a day to get passed. Those telling people to quit don’t understand what the implications of that are. The overall health of the game is directly impacted by the population playing the game, If too many quit then the game goes on life support.
Keep in mind that I don’t care that I can’t do Argos, I’m fine with getting there when I get there. What I hate is RNG progression that forces you into grinding the same content every day for weeks if you’re unlucky. I realize that if things are kept the way they are now that I will hate the game and should quit, but I’ll wait a bit longer to see what AGS announces. I think you’ll be surprised and see them westernize honing so they don’t lose 80% of their playerbase.
if u pay close attention to their comment history, defending predatory practices like their life depends on it, always playing devil’s advocate & going against anything that u say about the unfair system, that’s most likely someone from the company.
they’ll defend their brand to the death & rightfully so, it’s their job. this is why they’re here 24/7 in every topic in every comments. there’s a couple of them & i won’t ever bother to reply to them, ever.

It’s not that deep, if you are not having fun, just quit and go play something that’s fun for you. This game is going to be around for a long time, and you can come back to it when they make it more fun. It’s a theme park MMORPG, all the progression you do now is going to be irrelevant in like 6 months. With all the future catch up mechanics it will be easy to get back into it.
And i do play something diffrent my friend. i Just hit 2x chaos + guardians + una and im off to destiny. AND read forum while in work , just like now.

I guess honing changes will come with the next patch. The whales that wanted to do Argos week one already paid up, so they might as well drop the honing buffs.
I’m chilling with alts, they are gonna be forced to do something anyway. Whales can only survive if there is a ecosystem around then, no one wants to play an MMO without anyone. And if you don’t have a ecosystem well there is no money to be gained from it, they are greedy but they are not dumb.
My issue it isn’t Argos release, the problem is the 1340-1370 deadzone that already happened in KO and they repeated the same mistake here, without either improved honing chances and extra materials.
