People keep forgetting it was their boy Gold River who implemented the one class every 2-3 months method. He has also gone on record and said everything’s done and localized in an interview.
And just when I thought game devs in Korean couldn’t sink lower. And the gall for people to compare River to YoshiP of FF14. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh
Japan and Russia were known for being bad launches. JP released differently than RU where they had changes right after Argos while RU had it after valtan. They both started their launches at shushire and you can see how lacking of content it is. Anyway, their releases were not in anyway good. Also, AGS does not know what is in their build half the time when they upload wrong patch notes they have to change. Just saying that if you think SG is not at fault then idk.
It means the people that are losing their minds over this content update delay will probably lose their minds when/if the next one comes too soon, or late again.
If AGS would just state something to dismiss the idea that we’ll get content updates on a “routine” oriented basis, I think 1/2 the people who are mad right now would’ve been just fine. Because most of them probably have been assuming (myself included) the content updates would come around the same time of the month as previous content updates.
I’m sure they have a calendar with deadlines for all the things they do (I hope lol), but if they aren’t going to be able to meet those deadlines and have the freedom to move stuff around as needed, they should just tell the playerbase to stop expecting certain milestone dates to be “law” when it comes to content specific updates.
The way they are communicating right now is just serving to fuel the fire rather than stomping it out imo.
No knowledge transfers so you had to grind your alts or pay money. Still a thing btw which makes it way worse for alts for the average player. 2 month wait for Argos at the beginning of t3. Meaning nothing to do for 2 months.
It was literally 2 days of content that’s how. The game had absolutely nothing to do. If anything our game currently has so much more and people still call it a bad launch compared to RU and Jp.
I can only assume the decision to rip out 1415 contents from South Vern was made too late, which is causing this delay - among other 100 reasons that happens during development
It’s unfortunate, & why they even take out all the good contents out of South Vern in the first place, only to add it back in within a month or two.
My theory is there is one dev from smilegate doing the west content updates after his normal job is over, makes sense to me because our downtime is around 6-7 pm in Korea. There’s just no chance there is an actual team of skilled developers working on this.
There was the same content than we have right now, but at T1 (except boss rush).
And yes, it’s a bad launch, The game litteraly has 3+ more years, and was out on 3 country before our.
If you do the same “bad launch” on 2 servers, with 3 years of difference, then the later is the worst, because that means there was no learning, and they just throw it like “it’s a bad phase we have to go through”
But there wasnt the “negatives” things we have on our version.
There was no censorship
There was no “woke” adjustments
There was no CM saying “Soon” or “Stay tuned” at each questions
