I am the head of the robot team. At least we will pay in good faith and avoid your account being prohibited from paying through other channels. You are just a liar!
In addition, we employ experts from Argos to lead, and we will pay 1000g per robot account
It is fascinating to see real life situations being replicated in an online scenario, it’s usually the distrust in authorities that is leading to people trying to be vigilantes.
Looks like we already gotten to the point where some people feel justified to take matter into their own hands and scam these bots because obviously, ags aint doing shit about it. Honestly I don’t see why not at this point, if you dont mind them mass reporting you
The question was “are we allowed to scam them” and not if it was a moral thing to do or not.
The answer is “yes, we are”, because no authority is going to punish us for it. Scammers scam all the time and devs simply stay out of that - if you got mixed up in shady transactions, it’s your own fault for getting scammed.
Now, is it moral to do or not, well I tend to like this guy’s moral compass. He gets the bigger picture, unlike most of the righteous, moral, empathetic people here.
From the evolutionary perspective, there will always be evil and bad in this world, simply because when everyone is too good, it gets much easier to succeed by doing the bad. However, when too many people play bad, a need rises for the good to start protecting itself and appoint authorities to punish the bad players. And then the cycle of good and bad goes in the circles. Bad exists to make good keep fighting for its’ position in this world, and to advance and grow better.
From the mathematical perspective, if what bots are doing is wrong, it’s negative; so scamming the bots would be a negative of a negative, therefore, positive.
What everyone else seems to think is morally correct is simply the humanistic perspective, which kinda loses its’ point when the question is about scamming bots. LOL!
I could go on for days, nay, weeks about morality. But I don’t think it makes sense. In the end people just do what they’re “programmed” to do - just like bots.
lol do you think these bots are just conjured out of the matrix and only appear to frame Andrew Tate and farm gold in Lost Ark?
One person may be responsible for hundreds of accounts and likely requires very little interaction outside of resetting scripts but there is still a human element to this.
It’s interesting to see that when you are arguing in a thread about what to do about bots you claim that these are multi million dollar companies automatically producing bot scripts and running farms comparable to bitcoin mines that cannot be battled with any countermeasures but when you are arguing about scamming bots they are poor souls living in poor countries just trying to get enough money to buy bread for their families.
Yes, they require a few moments of supervision in their lifecycle but there is nothing human about it. A failed run is like 2 cents for them.
They are but you still need humans to spin up the VMs and run the scripts. When a script gets caught in a corner auto attacking a building you still need a human to correct the issue. When you have 6 multi-box sorcs in an Argos you still need someone to click go next for each gate and purchase the gems.
The scripts do the work, but the human is still there monitoring the accounts, correcting issues, replying when required, typing in captcha, whatever needs be to keep the bot functional.
This guy isn’t a bot. He’s the controller of the bots. That Argos carry probably paid for his Pepsi.
That little remote he has likely can swap between 1000 different VMs to view/change anything required for each of the 1000 bots he specifically is controlling.
The CONTROLLER of bots lmfao. Just watch the video.
These are 99% unmanned stations in large empty buildings. Yes, they need to sometimes take over a bot. No, it did not pay for his pepsi. You know nothing about that dude and how much he earns. You just made that up in an attempt to appeal to emotion. Cringe.
Emotion? There is nothing about that guy that is appealing to any emotion. He’s just some guy doing a job.
They are 99% unmanned because the scripts are functioning. Just like in any job you don’t sit and watch working automation work. If tomorrow they had to start typing in captcha for example, until the scripts sorted it out they would still be 99% unmanned after a human completed the captcha.
Go join any one of those all Sorc lobbies and say hello and I guarantee you will get a human response.
A bot cannot just simply exist. It doesn’t live in your internet cable.
I think we’re both just bored and getting caught up on the semantics of this lol.
Yes, a bot runs unmanned when it can. It likely does most of the solo content mostly unmanned and controlled by script. If the script breaks a manned step needs to be taken. If they need to log out/in a new set of bots that is a manned operation.
With PF these are mostly manned and you can interact with the controller. You cannot script how bots interact with players. A script isn’t buying your gem when you post it for them. A script isn’t launching the instance, nor is it moving the bots to the zoneline to go next, they can floor POV. that is all manned and that is the only thing a bus driver cares about. They don’t care what your character name is or how geared you are to join a bus.
That’s why I say with PF runs it’s not the same thing, a bot can pass every test a bus driver would require. They can and will speak with you, they can and will buy your gem, they can and will proceed to each gate. Even in Oreha’s the bots lead the party, they change from Oreha 1 to Oreha 2 and relaunch again…
In Oreha all bots move at the same time, they will song of escape at the same time. Sure there is one guy who you may be able to exchange words with. So what?
Even if they mass report you, it isn’t against the TOS, so youll get unbanned, or you could do it with an alt account, scam every single Bot for a few days in the party finder, send all the money to your main = ez profit
Not even really sure what I’m reading in this thread… are people actually trying to defend botters?
They are a plague on gaming. Full stop. I don’t care what their reasoning is. It is completely unacceptable and unethical. There is no defense for this that is based in reasonable logic.
That being said I would still strongly advise against “scamming” bots out of their gold. Or even legitimately bussing them.
We have no idea what systems SGR will implement next in terms of enforcement. They might suddenly decide to implement a tracking system that looks at all interactions a bot has had with players and retroactively issue suspensions. You are risking your account just by accepting gold from them/interacting with them.
looks like this guys confusing automation and input replication. multiboxing input mirroring with something like ISBoxer isn’t botting or automated and entirely manually controlled and that or a similar setup is what they have to go through for orehas and argos busses
that section isn’t something they just set up and go beat their dick in a corner while it does it on its own. as usual with the $0.02, automated, no harm no foul justifications
