I am of the opinion the strategy they are taking is going to cost them some money, not maximize money.
Unfortunately, unless one has access to an alternate timeline and can have everything be released asap in that timeline vs this current strategy, it’s all just a guess on which way is more profitable.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with asking for a class every month. But when they already promised a class every 2-3 months even before release, raging that they’re doing exactly what they said they were going to be doing before you even started playing the game is lunacy.
That’s really the whole issue with these forums. It’s not the asks that are the problem, it’s the tantrums being thrown when people get exactly what they were told they were going to get.
I thought about this for a long time, but I think I now understand why there’s so much hate for the game. Lost Ark was marketed wrong. It’s not a full-fledged mmo. Not in the sense of like FFXIV, WoW, or SWTOR. Lost Ark has more similarity to Genshin Impact without the new character pulling, than other mmos. People need to reinvent their notion of what this game is. Treat it like a mixture of mobile gaming with elements of mmos.
My issue is that their strategy isn’t scalable anyway. We’re going to catch up with character releases at 1 bi-monthly, and they’ll need to slow it down even further. If the strategy is to use character releases for content, what are we using in a year?
The alternative was to keep some good will and get more players invested at this, still relatively early, part of the game. It’s just a business decision which I think prioritizes short term gain over player feedback.
IDk about the demanding sure some suggestions are just bruh.
But whats getting to me are the constat lies and broken promises.
And the exuses are just so bad that i feel like they are taking me for a moron
Well we should want them to make money if we want to enjoy a well up kept game with future content development? They make enough, for sure, but none the less. Their success directly impacts the game we play.
Are we being too demanding asking for things such as more than 1 or 2 skins a month when there are so many we choose from? Are we being too demanding asking them to stick with their original plan of one new class a month? Are we truly being demanding wanting basic QoL features such as making character bound items roster bound instead?
These are the top 3 issues I constantly see on these forums since release and all 3 have been largely ignored by AGS/SG. So, no we aren’t being too demanding. I think we are being extremely reasonable.
I paid, I’m entitled to complaints and I will complain when a multi million dollar company fucks me in the ass without taking me to dinner first. I cannot understand how you can shamelessly defend giant corps like this with no compensation and be snide about the fact, you’ve got no shame.
If they don’t want complaints they should make sure their product is up to snuff, it’s why we have lemon laws. But I guess those entitled drivers were just to needy for wanting their cars to work.
