Many still do because they have fun with the game. To be fair, even none whales were clown ready a month ago.

5x3 engravings about 300k in gold, the ones that already do well they do because they played the game and have the inertia, engaged with their alts but p2w whales just got the dopamine when spending

Of course they keep playing, but a real whale has plenty of time to be top in tower of fantasy. If he can’t satiate the immaturity of burning bills here, he’ll do it in another similar game until he can work off that urge in this one.
What has to do with whales for legion raid? It’s not uncommon, that the whales with 5x3 all max get carried by a non-whale for a legion raid.
I mean true, I have seen Asmongold with his gigachad account getting carried all the time in Vykas

Whales are people with level 10 gems etc. Months ago.
5x3, 1475 etc and 1460 alts aren’t whale territory. It’s just people who play the game daily that are free or low spenders.
Plus once you get 5x3, you realize theres not much left to do in the game. It actually gets very stale.

My brother in christ I started to play f2p when Glaivier released and Im Brel ready lol
I’ve never spent money to buy honing materials. I bought the Ark Pass+ and 2 character slot extensions but that is it.
1500 Sorc / 1475 Destroyer / 1460 Paladin / 1445 Bard / 3 1370 Lopang alts.
At this point I can’t imagine anyone who was going to whale wouldn’t be done whaling long ago, unless they are trying to cap out a full 1490+ roster for Brae.
idk personally i don’t see whales as a problem because they’re spending from their own pocket, how much is gold now? they pay thousands you said, it’s their loss if you think about it that way, plus i think if you or anyone else had that kind of money you’d also pay up or become a whale yourself, if you have the money there’s a very high chance you’ll end up being a whale too or spending a few here and there and there’s nothing wrong with that, if they can afford it, so be it
I’m a complete F2P player, i have not paid anything on this game but i’m considering buying 2-4 character slots later in the future but that’s about it, whales can spend money and get to whatever item level there is, it doesn’t affect me and i don’t mind it tbh
They would’ve quit even if it was the best game ever released lmao. Most of them are just there to collect a quick paycheck due to hype and then move on to the next game. Asmon is still playing tho, just not on his main account.
nah, they havent quit yet. They are waiting for new content because they already really high ilvl and done with current content that’s why they are playing other games.
Asmongold says it himself, he loves playing lost ark, but he is just waiting for new content before he streams more for viewers because his viewers does not want to see him playing the same content over and over again. Streamers are meant to create new entertaining content for their viewers because it is their job. Therefore, to keep them engaged he has to bring more content to his stream by playing other games like wow.
