Hey, today i was doing a Argos p1 run on my alt, and i noticed that people still haven’t fully realized how to do it. There are bunch of video guides to it but…
i stole this image of google but… there are 4 major rules that i figured out(im 99,5% sure they are right)
1.The pizza will be split in to 5 ticks.
2.The pizza will have 100% guranteed safe spots.(7 and 1 for Sun, 5 and 11 for moon)
3.It cannot skip an increment OR jump positions( as an example: if it starts at 10 it cannot go to 12 or 8 directly it can only go from 10 to 11 or from 10 to 9. Or if you can look at your keyboard and imagine that it starts at W and it can only jump to E or Q but never directly to R or Tab)
4.At 5 and 7 o clock it is the ending safe spot. At 5 and 7 o clock it is also the STARTING spot. Same goes for 10 and 1. those are the starting spots.(tip provided by KyrosQuickfist)
So what that means is - You only have to remember 3 spots because the 4th and 5th spot are always guranteed.
If you use the picture as an example: Lets say you are Sun party and u walk kind of near the middle before the pizza starts. You don’t look at any number specifically but you kind of look to the left side so that most of it is in view, so lets say it starts at 9. At 9 You see a Yellow pizza slice appear and then because of the rule it can only go by 1 increment. So it goes from 9 to 10 to 11. Now where does it end?
And if you answered anything but 1 you didnt get it. XD
Because based on the rules it can’t possibly end anywhere else, because of the 4 fixed spots where it HAS TO 100% END.
As a example for moon if it starts at 5 goes 6 then 7 where does it end? and the same as before it ends at 5. Because it doesn’t have enough moves to get to the other fixed spot 11. Because the total moves are always 5.
Basically you just need to not miss the start of the pizza follow the path of the first 3 and then it always has to end at a fixed spot, so you really just need to not miss the start and remember the first 2-3 because the last 2 are always fixed.
This is late off topic irrelevant content and there are videos who kind of explain the same thing. XD hopefully this helps to anyone who read this Good luck
I don’t think you get it. The sun can never start at 9. Clock is not helpful here at all. The pizza has 8 slices, not 12. The “7” is “incorrect”. It’s “SW” for the sun. And since it moves 4x the sun can never start W (AKA 9) neither S (aka 6).
It’s even more interesting. In fact both sun and moon will always start diagonally at SW or SE (for the bottom safespots, exactly where the safespots are, just the color and direction is random, but the path is always the same after that).
(But you got the general principle, using wrong picture, not very ilustrative, and a bad example, but yeah. It always move by one and the last largest hit will always be at the same spot.)
The slices will always lead you to one of the safe corners. Stand above or below Argos, watch for your color when the pattern starts and memorize the pattern of 5. Move slightly ahead of the color change as there is a brief grace period in each slice.
It really is easy once you learn to turn off your DPS brain for 5 seconds to watch what’s happening. If that’s too complex, bring timestops.
For this gimmick, stand at 6 o’clock and look at your stigma (Moon or Sun).
At 5 and 7 o clock it is the ending safe spot.
At 5 and 7 o clock it is also the STARTING spot.
So look at 5 and 7 o clock and whichever of the two light up with your sun/moon, follow that.
When you are looking at two spots (and then only one spot), the pattern becomes EASY to follow. If you are looking at the whole pizza, you’ll see a disco ball and its impossible.
im baffled how retarded are people where the text and the explanation is drowned out by a picture used as a reference point so that u don’t have to use imagination However just like the clock in the image. even a broken clock is right twice a day. And you are actually right ill add your part to the rules aswell. and hopefully that makes it EVEN easier to understand it.
fair point. i just imagined that the abstract idea how to instead of having to remember 5 things you only need to realistically remember only 3. Also providing a method for it would be the meat of the topic. but the wrapping of the entire thing was more important at the end. XD not to mention i could have swapped the pic long time ago. So i guess its my own fault.
I actually understood what you meant because I’ve done the raid and I get the image was mostly to poetray the usage of a “Clock” when doing the pizza mechanics.
However using the wrong image for what you are explaining can confuse those who haven’t done it. They could see the spots appear and think the pizza is coming but get obliterated.
Even if the positioning is similar, the execution and visual effects are different and that’s what people is pointing out
Small pizza is random, the big pizza sun is always at 7, moon always 5. If you don’t want to play full mechanic go on this position and use time stop or paladin holy protection if you have one. The first photo is for the safe spot mechanic. Easiest way is 1-n,2-e,3-s,4w. P1 is hard only in first max 2 tries, then is easy.
noted. ill try and be better with it IF a next time comes. And i think a strong point is also made on the fact that this is targeted towards new players. And introducing extra confusion serves no purpose and is probably only a detriment. That being said im not changing the pic.
