So the problem is that its a good deal. They give you tons of free mats, then give you an option to get some more and that’s a problem somehow.

If you are willing to change gold to blue crystal just for honing mats, why not use the gold to directly buy honing mats from the Market Board? Why must it be from the Ark Pass?
You are demanding an entire system change just so you can purchase it in a method that is convenient to you? Isn’t that a little inconsiderate considering that you’re already playing this game for free. Furthermore, you feel the need to buy more honing mats is because you feel pressured to keep up with your friends. Isn’t that a self-control problem? You are lacking self control.

You know replying my questions with a meme gif further lowers your credibility right? It just seems that you are facing a simple case of lack of self control.
You are fomo-ing because you want to play catch-up with your friends. If they are really your friends, how about you ask them to donate some honing mats to you so that you could catch-up? or if you feel bad, you could trade their honing mats with your gold.

Your gold has zero cash value to SMG. Your playtime unless it converts to cash monetized items like this ark pass has zero cash value to SMG.
SMG (and Amazon) need cash revenue to keep this game running. It is fine for -some- ppl to not buy cash items, but game won’t exist much less keep running if -some- ppl don’t buy steady cash revenue items.
Your entitled logic here is that a company and all the employees with mortgages and jobs tied to whether game keeps running should allow you to ‘pay’ with your time and gold, a virtual currency that has worth to you but zero worth for cash value to the company and employees.
Run a lemonade stand. Or keep begging for free handouts, but dispense with the disguise of pretending you are not demanding a pure entitlement.

Every single blue crystal in Lost Ark was paid for with money from a customer, there is no reason not to be able to use them for the pass
Not all blue crystals actually paid for. Did you know there is a lot of blue crystals on the market that are there because of illegal transactions? Also people doing RMT from gold farming gets you those illegal blue crystals. I am fairly certain no one going to do illegal transactions to get the pass. Deal with it or dont buy it. That simple.
This ark pass got me 3 characters from 1300 to 1340 in a day from only 20 levels of it, that’s literally more than like a month of naruni event could do in terms of honing mats I mean
either way even if they released valtan rn you’d still whine about no content after beating valtan after 2 hours
and then if they released everything in kr to na rn you’d whine about not enough ilvl to do all the content and whine about the game being p2w
i love how people are mad you can buy mats for real money “now” but were always ok when it was obfuscated by one additional layer (exchanging money to gold, buy mats/buy crystals and then buy mats).

You can buy these mats with blue crystals aswell. However, you can’t do it with power pass. Poor Amazon I forgot that they are a small indie company that needs milk every penny to bring us amazing updates

Ok I skipped most of the toxic replies in this thread but here’s my take as a completely f2p player on principle not because of poverty who will not be buying premium.
The ark pass is fine. People have already outlined the multitude of reasons why but I want to zero in on one thing.
If someone gets a “good deal” on mats, they are incentivized to pay, and can hence, efficiently get ahead of someone who does not buy that amount assuming they play same amount. I think this is the issue many battlepass detractors have.
The problem is that as an f2p player you need to understand that if you think pay2progress=pay2win that means you think progress=win.
I can’t tell you what to do but imho if you need superiority over others from pure time alone, notice the amount of 1490 whales then reconsider. Or were they too far away? Maybe its because you now no longer have to be a “whale” to get ahead so the annoyed f2ps find it harder to rationalise why X person is ahead of them.
Either way, find enjoyment in the game outside of superiority over others. If you can’t then quit. Seriously I don’t say this lightly but if your only enjoyment is flexing on others, just quit. This is 1000% not the game for you, even more so than if you hated honing or raids or whatever.
As a final note, I want to add that just because you cannot flex on people by playing super efficiently and a lot, while people who pay can, does not make it a mobile game.
Lost ark is a pay2flex/speedup game. If you consider flexing and speeding up over others winning, just quit. You will despise this game.

Don’t think of lost ark as a race, but rather a movie. Some people want a fast track to the good parts, but for the rest, we should enjoy the watch

False. You can acquire blue crystals, quite a lot of it weekly, by just trading gold on Mari shop for blue crystals.
If ark pass could be purchased with blue crystals then there would be no guaranteed cash revenue stream b/c while RC are 100% only obtainable via cash, blue crystals can easily be acquired using nothing but in game generated gold.
Did you really not know you can convert gold to blue crystals? Or just being disingenuous to make your false case

While the OP here only expresses an opinion. Calling ark pass “trash” is subjective opinion. Calling it “scam” is accusation of criminal conduct, hence your well deserved but far too short 1 day ban.
