"Artist did not help support population in KR so it won't help here."

Because I don’t play with randoms. Perks of having a guild.
Why would I ever want someone to pick me? lol

I mean that’s different topic, by all means if u got static play whatever you want. Hell as far as I am concerned, you can go 8 DPS artists.
I was talking about general health of the game, and Artist DPS is not something you would want in your every day pug clear.

I dunno, I never played with it, but I can still hope.

Stopped reading at “much more prevalent in the west”

Nope

Ya forgot we got some shitty players in euc too (I mean when I pug with my support friend, they start complaining about no heals)

Release ayaya

I generally think it would not help with support numbers. People who don’t like supporting in MMOs will not choose a support class as their main period. Artist would maybe help support numbers at lower alt content, because people would make an artist as an alt due to how unique it is, but I don’t think that DPS : SUP ratio at highest/main level would change. Even if bard/paladin players made a switch, they would remove a bard/paladin from the end game and have artist instead, and ratio would still remain marginally the same.

You just want the loli, do you?

your argument isnt really valid because whoever mains a dps wasnt gonna main artist either. wed just have more artists and less bards and paladins. and even if they get released now at the cutting edge of highest content the support issue will not fade. itll just get a little better on alt level play. (meaning 1430 but not 1460)

Most ignorant argument I’ve ever seen. As an Ru vet(Of Lost Ark) from NA who mains artist in Ru but made a 1475 dps in NA that sits there collecting mats to main Artist next year, I can call this complete bs…

Just because someone doesn’t enjoy the current support classes and chose to go dps until one they will play is rleased, doesn’t mean they won’t ever play supp.

There are many supp main players who make a dps main first to clear the boring solo content so their support characters don’t have to do it…

Bard has been the most popular class in KR since the game’s inception. That is not the case in NA/EU where our support-to-DPS ratio is also much worse.

I would also argue investment in characters you’ve had for several years is probably much higher. I imagine people would be much less willing to switch mains in KR than NA/EU.

honing buff is actually helping… after having 7 gunlancers and a scrapper i decided to level a bard with the honing buff or better say BECAUSE oif the honing buff

Hey, I thought it was my turn to make the daily post asking for artist release, anyway I guess I ll post it tomorrow :rage:

Well… still not surprised the majority of replies in this thread think I like artist.

I am not going to bother checking this thread anymore.

False. I’ve seldom had problems raiding as DPS Paladin on ilevel even before I was in a guild.

Now that I’m in a guild it’ll never be an issue because they see the damage I put out every week.

My theory is they are releasing artist in march? literally because of skins. By then the specialist body type would’ve gotten a halloween & christmas skin so they don’t have to worry about her during those holidays in NA/EU/SA while we are still catching up getting two skin sets for those events at a time so by next summer we would be getting their 2022 summer event skin which specialist already has and we would be caught up. If they release her now they’d have to release stuff that we just aren’t going to get until she’s out next year & it would just be weird if all the classes didn’t get it too, since we will always be a year behind in skins it seems.

To make things simple a support is a support. You use spells and they provide utility to the group and it is by design and not necessarily a choice that you have when you play a support (but you can still go dps but you still contribute to dps with some random buffs aligned within your spell rotation due to a spell effect) but regardless, your still helping or contributing as a support by doing damage, buffing, or healing involuntarily without your attention or intentions at all.

the needle in the haystack has spoken… your situation is super rare and not at all how it is for 99% of the rest. also “maining” artist in RU. she just came out over there. calling it maining is a little much

I hope they release the Superior Ayaya first so that OP is mad.

Maybe you’re new to Lost Ark, but in general people start hoarding mats at least a month before a class release and there are events and a powerpass to boost you on day 1 to 1415(in Ru) along with the global honing buff to 1415 already being active while mats are also cheaper in the aH. I had my artist at 1430 on day 1 with her being already 1466 right now and likely 1475 by the end of the week(My main in Ru before Artist was Scouter which sits at 1460 and a Bard/Paladin at 1430 each).

It takes a day to swap mains below 1500 as f2p with over a month’s notice in other regions with all the catch up mechanics and material sources.
Whales for example, like the streamer Saintone, got his Aeromancer to 1560 2 days after it was released in Kr and some are already 1580+ with Esther weapons +4 …

I’m actually lagging behind most players since It’s been a month and I also actively play NA.
