Auction House API - This thread was created 9 months ago with massive interest from the community but we have literally ZERO definitive answers. (still waiting)

" In 2002, Jeff Bezos issued what is now known as the API mandate: The new direction at Amazon would be that all capabilities would have to be designed and exposed as APIs . This is an early version of what we today call API First."

Seems to fit amazon’s culture. And I assume it is not going to be a problem with SG either as they exposed the API in kr.

My thinking exactly!

Amazon is very good about providing technical resources for developers thus far, so I assume they’d want to do the same for their gaming division.

The value added to the product by providing an API would be insane.

That being said, New World also wanted an api pretty badly but I don’t think it ever came to fruition.

Is anything in the plans that players actually want? “At a faster rate than Korea” and “not in our current plans” are starting to sound like the go-to for everything this version is missing…

What sort of feedback are you looking for?
A thread dedicated to players replying as a sort of petition maybe?

If you could create an official one, that may help us collectively request it in a more formal manner.

Bump for public API.

Should we create a separate post to have this more known in the community along with all the benefits in it?

How much feedback exactly?
There are more links than this btw. These are just a few of them.

yes please this would help so much
allowing players to check out top builds
improve AH functions especially accessories with access to the API to help the process of min/maxing engravings

API would be great.

We clearly need 100 more threads to show more feedback.

Atleast 100 more! Make it 200 to be sure, because the 20ish that we have aren’t enough.

In KR, the search using AH API can easily find the cheapest accessories to redo your engravings.

I’m pretty sure that in the history of MMOs, there has never been a playerbase that said “nah, hold the API please”. Many of us have already seen the great tools that KR fans have come up with to where they don’t even use the in-game auction house search at all…

It’s probably already in the client and it’s just disabled.

This would be great to have!

Thanks for the update Roxx!

From what I have heard about the Market API, I would be very interested in getting access to it as soon as possible!

Exactly how much feedback is needed? Perhapse there could be an API to sort out the “yes”, “obviously” and “duh” responses.

I would sacrifice my firstborn for the release of the API so some genius can whip up a site to help people plan out their buys.

Is that enough feedback?

If there is enough feedback? Do we need to ask for every little quality of life feature KR has in order to get it? Do we have to show interest in each specific new class in order to be given them?

Can we just get the things that provide an objectively better experience for every player without having to ask for it? Can you guys fight for us without us having hound you constantly about every minor improvement we’d like to see?

Maybe we can get some people on board that actively play the game enough to have a fair understanding of what the playerbase would want without having to ask for every little improvement.

The AH API is one of the best QoL (if not the best) i’ve seen in this game. We desperatly need it.
@Roxx dear, pls do some magic :hugs:
