Authentication Failed 10010 Error

Hi, i played all night and about a hour or two ago i started getting this error.

Also something weird, i cannot access playlostark.com

This happens if i connect to my home network. Right now i am from my phone with mobile data ip and works just fine. If i connect to wifi from the phone i also cant access playlostark.com

I asked on discord and everyone else seems fine except another guy from UK just like me who has exactly the same issue, cant connect to game and cant access playlostark page.

Am i banned or what? I havent done anything wrong 1000% and i havent received any email about it either.

No, it didnt helped, i have tried that thing and a couple more things and still not working.

It looks like a problem specific to UK players. Please look into it or tell the tech guys to check it out. As i said, we cant even see your site, looks like a dns issue, someone used a VPN to login properly so its the UK ips / internet providers that are blocked out

Thank you for your reply @marius777

I’m so sorry the this steps doesn’t work for you.

Hi, @Kagami !

I am jumping into this thread. Because it would seem that the forum will not allow me to create a new post topic yet.

I experience the Authentication Failed 10010 error EVERY DAY. But only ONCE, upon the very first launch. I will explain further.

I am running on Windows 7 (I know, I know…), and I originally had the auth error that completely prohibited me from running the game at all. I went through the very well published steps, and disabled IPv6, setting TLS 1.2, etc. I did take the “shotgun” approach, but I believe that either removing IPv6 or setting TLS 1.2 were key in resolving my issue.

But now I realize I am still having the auth error once per day. After maintenance (assuming 5-6am et), when I try to launch the game for the first time, I will get the 10010 auth error. When I launch the game for a second time, I am always able to get connected (no further errors).

Being an IT guy, I’ve worked this out in my head thinking that perhaps it is some kind of a server name resolution issue. I tried to Google to learn the names of the Lost Ark auth servers. I was thinking that if I could ping or port query them prior to launching the game, I could circumvent the first time launch auth failure that I am having to endure. Which is annoying. The game takes a long time to launch. So, for me, I have that long time multiplied by 2 - at least at the start of the day.

The more I think about it, I suspect that something changes overnight or during the maintenance. And for whatever reason, that auth server is throwing me out on my heels due to likely a failure to encrypt on the “first” pass. But the second pass always lets me in. I don’t know if this has something to do with the name resolution, or caching sequence. Auth server VIP passes me off to a auth real, but the 10010 failure is already reported. On the second go, the load balancer keeps my session (sticky), and thus I am able to auth with the real.

If there is any feedback about things I can try to prevent this first launch failure, I would love to see it. Also - I am hoping that my experience can provide your team with insight about how the auth failures are happening at all - in hopes that you can improve the auth sequence behind the scenes to make things smoother for everyone.

Thank you!

Game Played fine through early morning, but later this morning I keep getting the 10010 error and under it is some message I can’t quite make out and when I click the ok for the 10010 error I can’t see what else it’s telling me. Is there a new round of changes that has brought the 10010 error back up? All my other Steam games load and work fine. My non-Steam games are also working fine. I didn’t make any changes on my end so this inconsistency of access is kind of demoralizing. Mari server. Any legitimacy to the following suggestions?

@cochini I used to encounter the 10010 issue a lot a few weeks ago — what worked for me eventually (and as basic and silly as it may seem) — i simply unplugged my router for 5 min from all cables. Ever since i have only received the issue once and the same trick helped.

thank you kindly. In one of my attempts I moved the ‘10010’ error window and behind it there was a message about a ban for logging in from someplace I wasn’t suppose to blah, blah, baloney stix - not using a VPN, had been playing just a few hours earlier from the exact same location in Colorado, which, if my geography lessons serve me correctly, is still located in North America   :upside_down_face:

So my gf have the same error and do nothing only to start the game every single day and after reset 10010 appears, its annoying and completley useless.
We follow the steps to solve the problem but nothing happen especially to reconnect the amazon / Steam account.
The thing is, she can connect with my accouint on his computer but her wont work after all of the reconnect /link/dislink and whatever…
Both of us are working people and dont have many time to solve those stupid things and ticketing and so on we want to enjoy our little time to spend together on games.
Plus she is not able to get the dayli rewards and cant enter any dungeons, remember this and thinking about the time loss she get any further in the game.

Thanks

Same problem here, but the information i get for the tickets send to amazos is frustating. One say I am banned and the next one says im not

Its not a ban, if you look around here on the forum a bit there are some ways you can try and fix it

same shet everyday… I have to try at least 5-10 times for login LUL

So, in case anyone finds this helpful. This is how I got it 2 work.

This was on a laptop - I tried every single fix that I could find except from the regedit thing.

I decided to reboot Windows (just removing the apps and config settings, keeping the files)
Before I did it I copied the Steam folder into the desktop, reboot sytem, wait some time, reinstall steam client, Verified the integrity of the game files, run the game and poof! It somehow worked.
