Bought something on the marketplace, took my gold, but no item. Eventually it popped up and said the market place isn’t working and to try again later.

While I’m not entirely sure if the issues are related, Lost Ark is currently experiencing server problems and that could be the reason why you’ve had this issue. I’d recommend including this information at the link provided below along with the details you’ve included in this post.
