Not the end of the world but you underestimate the amount of time people put into games just to get false banned because of incompetency. I’m not somebody who was banned but seeing that people dedicated 500+ hours just to get a slap in the face, shows that this company cares very little about their player base, this was seen in New World as well.

I mean it could very well be Easy Anti Cheat…you don’t know it’s AGS. Don’t jump to conclusions before you’re situation is fixed. I know it’s frustrating…but have a little bit of perspective. Yea AGS is publishing the game and probably manages it for US, but EAC has done some funky ass things to me in the past.
You think they do this on purpose? You rushing to conclusions. This will be addressed and if people did nothing wrong they will get their accounts back. Trust me I play this game a shitton, and if I got banned I would be frustrated as well. But I’d also understand that shit does indeed happen, and said shit, usually works out and gets fixed. And if it doesn’t I’ll eat my words and probably be very pissed off with the rest of the people.
Purpose? No.
Is it really really dumb and bad? Yes.
Doesn’t matter if it’s smilegate, amazon, or steam. The end result of what happened is completely sad regardless if “shit” happens. I’ve played a crazy amount of games since I was 5 with an insane amount of hours devoted between 70k-80k.
I’ve seen false tripwires on players before, but something like this on this scale? Highly debatable. Not to mention a ton of people are already upset with how the game is being released and at what rate.
A quick example would be releasing content on KR where it didn’t work, so they created a content patch to fix the issue, but released the content in the same manner on NA/EU which currently has no content patch to fix the issue. (AKA repeating history).
Overall, I’ve seen almost every gaming company screw up big time causing their game to never recover. I’m not saying this ban wave is “it”, but it does add on to a list now which is not good.
Once again… it doesn’t matter whose problem it is, they need to fix their problems fast and come up with a better content patch to satisfy players asap. Not to mention if they don’t release ranked pvp along with tournaments soon… not a good look for the NA/EU scene.
My friend/guildie got caught in the wave and did absoluting nothing other than AFK in Nia’s Village. Hope everyone gets their account back before reset. If not… R.I.P

600+ hours for both me and my girlfriend. Not even an auto-clicker used to beat the queues.
But now she got banned.
We probably reported too many gold sellers so I guess I’m next in line to get banned as well…
Now she can’t even post on the forums.
The handling of this from Amazon is indeed amazing.

I got banned a few days ago when i reached the 500 hour marked (or around that, sitting at 590 now) for 3 days. If this is the actual cause then AGS is an even bigger joke than I thought, if thats possible.

I assume this is because
a) those that sell/buy and are caught give the excuse they are just sharing.
b) there is no benefit for sharing accounts. Sooner or later the people that share account will bump heads and you can’t prove you were just sharing anyway

I have 600 hours total. Since the start of the wrongful ban waves, I only log in once a day to do daily guardian and maybe chaos sometimes on main only, and then get kicked by afk. Not sure if my anecdote is relevant for saying it’s neither of those conditions (# of hours or afking), but I am not banned (though I am not interested in playing Lost Ark at the moment for as long as AGS is clowning with their bans like this).
At least most of you guys should be temp bans and by the time you can contact support, your temp ban will be over. However there are still a lot of players who are wrongfully PERMA banned for nonsense reasons.

Not everyone that has over 500 got banned but most people affected by this issue since last night seem to have over 500 played. We don’t know what caused this but that’s the only thing everyone has in common.

How is it possible that so many people play at least 14+ hours everyday for 32-33 days?
Maybe its the “iTs NoT a RaCe, get some sun for 3 days”-ban

It’s kind of disgusting to catch legit players up in a poorly thought out bot formula and then not explain why or give them a chance to plead against it.
It’s horrible to be treated like a criminal and then lose out on Crystalline Aura time, guild activities and be put a day behind in the grind that takes long enough already.

I was finally unbanned after 18 hours and freedom feels so good. I can finally talk on the forums again. I appreciate being free, and will from now on limit my game time and won’t go afk anymore. I do have the worry of always being banned now. My friend is pretty annoyed at it, me talking about it. But thank you to whoever was able to correct the problem.

I think the suspension ran out at 1am UTC for most of us, but I would still like them to address why we were banned in the first place. Also didn’t realise you had to re-login to get access to reply in the forums.
@Roxx don’t let this get ignored by the support team. Yesterday’s hotfix banned tons of legit players, and your support team ignored us, spamming bot messages till we spammed tickets. The bans are happening for random reasons. I’ve never EVER cheated or bought/sold gold, yet I got banned and a lot of people had the same exact issue. It’s so disheartening seeing this happen and seeing your support answer with something along the lines “fuck you, you deserved it”.
You can and should do better if you want this game to succeed.

I concur with the above statements.
I understand porting a game over from a different country is not an easy thing to do.
But the product in its current state seems like a pre beta version of the game.
Since when do we have to subject ourselves to automated ban tests, it doesn’t say in your ToS we would be test subjects in a video game.
