Hey all. I bought Ark back in February on steam played every weekend since with no issues until July 3rd when I logged in played for 30 minutes log out no problem. Yeah login 3 hours later to find out I get a lovely ban. No explanation nothing. Tried everything to contact Amazon but got the run around I think the not having a customer service phone line is BS and no help from live support or not giving me the information about said ban.
I’m here to tell you we need to send a clear message to Amazon it is against the FTC law to with hold information a customer asks for so I filed a fraud report to FTC against Amazon.
In all my years of playing online games they give you the reason for a ban or suspension but Amazon nooooo they refuse to give us what by law is our rights as a consumer. I ask anyone who is banned and asking for the reason to file a fraud report. I’m sorry for the rant. It may also be helpful to know the ban came a week after I began working for Amazon as a driver
False bans are common in AGS Games. This one is no different. Sadly dealing with their appeals team is like herding cats. It can be a pain in the ass. Their general philosophy is guilty until proven innocent. If you are suspected of cheating or using a bot you will have to prove to them somehow that you did not do anything wrong, which is virtually impossible for the average player. The appeals team are always as vague as possible because apparently they dont want hackers/botters/ect to learn anything about their systems. Absolutely horrendous policies all around.

Yeah I finally got the answer it was said I was selling coins and spamming lol hell I don’t even use the AH or even talk to anyone in game
Any possibility your account was compromised? Using steam guard?
There was also a bug with the chat systems auto moderation tool a few months ago that was causing people to be banned just for saying the words “selling” and “gold” in the same message, regardless of context.
See thats the weird thing I dont use chat period and as of midnight last night they unbanned me
Probably just banned by a bug in their systems. Glad they got you sorted though
