Hey everyone! I just got my first DPS classes up to 1415. Sorc. I switch between reflux casting and igniter but with the addition of relic acc I am hoping to be able to actually utilize igniter effectively. My main is bard but the sorc is my dps main or main alt.
Wondering what I should be taking into consideration when pumping the Sorc to 4x3. Like which engraving to slot and which to use in stone or acc. Also which engravings are best to choose from for a 1415-1460ish(one day haha) alt to use.
5th engraving option is cursed doll. Spec will be primary, you’ll want crit or swiftness on your neck secondary.
Spec to help you generate meter to ignite more often.
Crit if you want a bit more damage and are comfortable with your 2nd meteor window during ignite. If not, run swiftness instead of crit on the neck, and if you want a bit less RNG with a lower ceiling, can swap something with precise dagger, but I don’t recommend PD for overall purposes.
Just throwing this out there, cast Doomsday first when igniting, don’t hit igniter until it’s already in the air. It’ll cut the cooldown in half so you can get two of them off. Just adding because I see so many people that don’t know.
If you go igniter you NEED a level 8 cooldown gem on Doomsday to land 2 during igniter… if anyone tells you that you can get away with a 7, they are lying cause that doesn’t work in real fights (except maybe Turtle)
It should definitely be crit+spec on the necklace, not swiftness. You can save up for the gem over time, its not really necessary before you get to Kakul/Brelshaza imo. Going wrong stats on your gear is a waste of gold I have 75% critrate in ignite, and I still am able to not crit both my doomsdays in ignite and its massive dps loss if that happens a lot…
If you want to save on accessories with class engravings look out for one ring with swiftness+igniter on. That will make you be able to do double doomsday just like with a lvl 8 cd gem without losing important critrate… Cheapest engraving to put on your necklace/earrings is All Out Attack by far…
I’m with 7 CD doomsday and I always land 2 of them in one igniter… I also throw double frost call…
It’s doomsday into frost call into igniter and just before the end I frost and doomsday again.
Keep in mind that spec increases igniter’s duration. I’m at 1620.
Also a tip for the last doomsday is to use it without waiting it’s ground target to appear and then click it with the mouse but instead just spam tap the hotkey.
4x3 is very specific on igniter.
Where it gets interesting is at 5th.
The most common expensive high end is cursed doll but I tend to believe that adrenaline is better.
Having 45% crit rate with igniter on is nowhere near consistent. Not to mention how much dps you loose while building gauge with 20% crit rate.
BTW if u want a newcomer friendly 5x3 option later on, which it won’t drop you far from top dps, its the precise dagger. Its like 200-300k gold cheaper.
Love it just did this for my 4x3. Since this Sorc is an alt I prefer not to run grudge till late game so I used precise dagger instead of grudge so I can stay alive long enough to clear legion raids haha…
I finished my 4x3 and my necklace is the one piece I can swap to anything I want at this point. I do have enough gold to afford an lvl 8 cd gem. Maybe it worth the investment since I saved a ton on my 4x3 by using precise instead of grudge. Then using spec/crit neck plus precise dagger I should be able to land a decent amount of crits until I can get into some relic gear on this toon.
i have lvl 5 gems and i always land 2 doomsday, you need to cast doomsday and when is doomsday falling, you activate de igniter and give you time to cast another doomsday with igniter damage
