They say its for bots but most have already found a way to bypass the IPs they’ve blocked, there are other threads showing forums of showing other people who bot the game on how to get around the current chunk of VPN IPs blocked. So no, doesn’t really have to do with bots. It’s like putting a band-aid on a giant gushing wound where the tiny part that is being covered to stop the bleeding are the actual players who use the VPN to stop getting disconnected every few minutes, or to make their ping better.
you can play New World with VPN, no restrictions there.
I hope people will now stop with the ToS bullshit.

I relied on Exitlag to alleviate the horrendous routing / packet loss i have when playing Lost Ark.
Now i’m back to having random ping spikes and lags.
If things don’t improve soon, I’ll go spend my money elsewhere.
P.S : If AGS don’t realize that this ban is actually pointless (as far as botter are concerned), we can finally give it a rest and come to the following conclusions:
- They will kill this game in the west, like they did to all their previous released games.
- AGS decision makers are clowns (a lot of people suspected that, this will only confirm it)

Lol… wow… so now they have a two-way tie for hypocrisy between Nvidia cloud gaming and New World. They are literally arbitrarily deciding when it is and isn’t against TOS. That makes anyone screaming “TOS” in these posts willfully ignorant or blind.

I gaurantee you, a bot creator can update their pathing for spontanuity far easier and faster than an AI can be trained to detect it.
You’re also wrong about VPNs. VPNs severely cripple a companies ability to implement a proper ban system.
Except they clearly don’t. The botters solved this in all of a few hours and now it’s just hurting actual players.
This won’t happen. Amazon doesn’t own servers in the central US. The best they can do is merge West and East separately.

there are other countries that arent listed on the website that have free access to the game and there are alot of people who use a vpn and alot of people are mad so i dont get why so many people repeat this. yes i can read thank you very much

That’s what was enforced. Since these folks need a VPN to play somewhat, from now, they should be prepared to be banned. It’s against the ToS
I haven’t insulted anyone. You guys know it’s against their ToS to use VPNs. Don’t like it play another game. It’s okay to have a discussion but making the same post over and over crying isn’t gonna solve anything
In my case, we have two full stacks of Russian speakers in our guild, but we all live in different countries, some in Russia, some in Europe, some even in the US, and we decided to just start playing from scratch together.

thats why you constantly update the AI based on new training data gathered from verified reports. it will make it undesireable for bot creators to keep updating them and will significantly reduce bots.
VPN do not cripple a companies ability to implement a proper ban system as IP based bans are ineffective anyway.
