If SGR never thought it was an issue anywhere else, why would they change it here?
a game being F2p doesn’t excuse weird decision-making and lack of transparency on important issues.

Character bound materials dont make any sense since you are always left with pile of materials that become useless and they are worth 1 silver per piece, make them roster bound of give us more silver when we sell them
I dont think you are actually defending bots, but lets not pretend bots helped anyone except false wannabe whales and cheaters. They caused BC prices to skyrocket, which really hurt FTP players. people RMT are circumventing the in game economy. The reason gold was expensive is because thats what players were valuing their gold at during that time. When someone goes around the in game shop, they are instead buying printed gold, and often they will then use that printed gold to buy BC, instead of doing it the legitimate way.

Stop making it cost so much gold to hone tier 3 with such stupid failure rates. Make stones roster bound, not character bound (in all cases). People who like the grind aren’t going to spend money, they will take their time. The people who don’t like the grind will just walk away instead of buying more crystals to get more gold because we see through the obfuscation of what a rip off it is. Just my opinions of course.
Bots (gold selling ones) can get solved by taking away the reason they exist. Plus, add 2FA requirements. You can even implement one on your own using the AWS services you actually provide.

Great post. To put it simply i agree with many of the sentiments here. Make all mats roster bound. Lower the gold and silver drain on honing. People wouldn’t need to buy the gold then. That or just make the gold easier to get. And i agree on the crystals. That system is dated and scummy. If i want to whale for gold with my visa card let me just buy the gold. Why do we need all these currencies? Oh yeah to help distort how much your actually paying. 25 or 30 for a mount? Id gladly pay you money for cool skins and cosmetics that are more reasonably priced. Oh… yeah well we actually need some skins people want in the shop first.

And isn’t the “inflated” crystal system a biproduct of a player driven market? I’m glad you realize the problem is bots, nothing anyone else hasn’t noticed, but I HIGHLY doubt smilegate or even amazon wants bots in their game.

Theres hundreds of millions of gold on just g2g for 1 eu server alone. Theres easily hundreds of billions over the couple of websites ive seen. Amazon needs to pull their finger out.
