I’m going to ask you again. I need you to clarify and explain to me. I’ve played FFXIV and many other MMO’s for years. To high end content even. And while the bots do exist, they are still quite limited on how you can utilize them. Explain to me in detail how you can farm Gil, convert the gil into a store currency via in-game market exchange (Giving access to shop items/player power increases) to maximize yourself. In LA’s case the bot issue stems from massive gold collection used to flood the current market with either farmable mats or gold thus impacting the currency exchange directly. Tell me what you can acquire from FFXIV botting/farming that can be compared in this instance. I haven’t played the other games you listed but I’m sure many have, and we would like to know the direct in game comparisons the botting and their utilization. If I were to mass bot in LA, I could have anything I wanted on the auction house with the mass amounts of gold farmed from leveling and selling material. Then I would shuffle that gold around a bit slowly start to convert it crystals overtime giving me all those items that could be bought with crystals. And then I would wait and sit on my masses and slowly manipulate each facet of the market down to currency exchange rates. You are trying to draw parallels, but I all see here is zig zags.

What a stupid thread. Yes, every MMO has bots. There absolutely IS something, that can be done about them or what do you think that Anticheat program launching before the game actually does? Imagine seeing a problem and choosing not to address it because this game is F2P. Not very smart.

Like I said a majority continue to spam, even now. Nothing of substance. Tons of messages for amazon to read when there could just be key messages being heard. FFXIV has a lot of bots because it has free trial.
WoW does have some bots, but not nearly as many as FFXIV or LA - due to the fact you have to pay for doing anything (there is free trial, but you cant even use chat). Bots are also being banned regularly.
Just because there are bots in one game that you play, that have minimal impact on overall economy in the game - it doesn’t means we should just get along and let bots go rampage in LA and kill any in-game economy (it will be way better to buy gold on 3rd party sites than do this in-game soon, I mean, would you not buy 1000 gold for 0,1$?)
Some things can be done to make it harder for those people to create accounts, or spam the chat - but it would inevitably also affect normal players.
The best way out of this situation is to focus on building tools to stop the usage of 3rd party programs. Current bots are easy to obtain, I would imagine that Amazon already asked Smilegate or any external dev studio that they cooperate with, to back-engineer it and see how they can detect it and autoban in.
As much as I understand that bots will never be fully gone, the current state of it in LA is extremely bad and nothing like I have seen before in other games. It is mostly noticeable if you are leveling new character - it is hard to find a real player. The scale of it is, honestly, very worrying, as it means that you - as players - will soon be completely blocked from making any gold unless you play 24/7. I mean, how do you want to compete on the market with multiple bots speedhacking all day long?

Seems to me like you have an interest in keeping Bots around, maybe you own some of them? 
You complain about Spam and “unnecessary” messages for AGS to read, yet you are the one opening thread with no other intention than to shit talk and spur up conflicts. Just stop posting, you will do good to your own cause !

The problem with these bots are that they make it impossible to complete serten quests coz they insta kill the mod you need :c

They speedhack so fast I have serious problems even tagging them.
We need some kind of area gm ping to have someone go and see things in game and use specific tools to ban them.
